It's an overlay like Discord or Steam overlay or an FPS overlay. It's not bannable and the majority of insane Huntress players use a crosshair either on their monitor as most these days have them built in or using software. It doesn't inject into the game it just places a dot on your screen.

most and I mean most survivors on PC use insanely over saturated filters with nvidia or reshade to brighten the whole game.

well yes i had to post here after his bragging about all his excellent shots and when i looked at his profile "Currently playing Crosshair X" lmao I said to him in end game chat and it seemed he didn't even know that it displayed his crosshair X as the game he was playing, not dead by daylight

id say its even harder than an fps game since there is a curve and u have to account for more travel time than a sniper in an fps game

Well, crossair it´s not exactly a cheat, I mean, gaming monitors have a crosshair function with just a push of a button. It adds a crossair not a aimbot.
for you all know wall hack it´s quite helpfull to pinpoint survivors and aim properly.
I´ve seen it, also there is hatchet speed boost, also confirmed on youtube so I doubt the cheats end up there.

Even Otz and Jund have admitted to using crosshairs before. I've never seen a statement it's against the rules, and several gaming monitor models come with such a thing built into the monitor. And also nothing can prevent a guy from putting something physically on the middle of his screen.

I fail to see what is so terrible about that Huntress using a crosshair. They still need to get the shots and hitting you from across the map takes some real skill. The devs won't ban them either.

Crosshairs help the bad players gain average performance.
It won't help average players become good.

I've played with and without Crosshairs before both as killer and survivor. It helps a tiny bit, in the same way that game filters help you see better a tiny bit. I wouldn't consider it a cheat though because it's not something that interact with game files. That said, it would be better if it's included in the game as an accessibility option perhaps.

Cheats would be things that interact with game files and give you an advantage. ESP/wallhacks and aimbots are the subtle ones. Then there's blatant speedcheats and teleportations. And more.

My monitor has an inbuilt crosshair function, its bitchmade to add a crosshair but not sure what they can do when you can add a crosshair to your monitor even without third party software.

i just feel bad for them that they have so little selfestem to the point where they have to cheat when its not even hard to aim in the first place
