Have you and your team constantly harass her drones by disabling them, its the biggest counter to her and is pretty effective when done right, work on gens in her drones when shes chasing someone else, dont be afraid of the exposed effect

My tip against the skull merchant is check how the drones are sweeping, some skull merchants aren't great at setting them up and they can't put drones near hooked survivors or too close from eachother.

potential energy, and yes take down her traps always.

swf + coms for timing of sticking gens/ runing away or if she commits suicide gens

solo = impossible

only swf with comms to disrupt hacking drones or focus same gen while always tracking killer.

Frankly, I don't think there's a definite counter without needing friends. Skull Merchant is extremely effective against 3 Gens situations. And her power also allows her to pretty much dictate a campground for it. Until something changes, she will remain overly effective against it. Signs of extremely bad killer design that should've never been released.

If you have SWF teams, you can communicate and share her location. Having people harass her drones and target breaking three gens so that no matter what; she cannot get to a Generator in time. It's not easy, but it's the best way to combat her power and break 3Gen situations. Once you do that; she will have to patrol further distances.

Perks like Deja Vu, Prove Thyself, Repressed Alliance, and Hyperfocus / Potential Energy will help you complete generators faster, especially if you're working with another survivor. Using Repressed Alliance will also help delay gen-kick perks to help mitigate time loss between kicks and drone deployments.

If you're strictly Solo Queue like myself... Honestly, just run selfish perks. You're not going to get out of there with a full team. Low Profile, Distortion, Iron Will, Urban Evasion. These perks will at least help you avoid being spotted and can help get around her drones when they are in idle mode. (Where they're not actively tracking / in that bright orange zone)

One thing I learned from a Chad Jake in solo queue: if you can hold your own in chase, take the drone off a generator and let your team do the gen.

Ideally, in a 3gen, your best bet is to have somebody constantly harassing her drones and taking her attention. Without her drones, she’s an M1 killer with a bit of haste.

I haven't played much against this killer, only time I played against her I did a gen under a drone without it even picking up my position, she was also a camper so it was quite easy, can't remember if 2 or 3 survived the encounter but the only reason 1 got killed was because she wouldn't leave the hook.

I have played as her alot and only time I lost despite having the perfect 3 gen is because I was dealing with an SWF that would grab the drones and run away faster than I could give chase, I literally ended up on the other side of the map and the rest of the team did a gen from 0 to 100% in that chase.

Skull Merchant might be a good killer if they know how to properly position the drones but the moment a survivor gets hooked between the drones she loses a lot of coverage because her drones can't be close to hooked survivors.

She is still the strongest on the area control I will say that.

Her biggest strengths is that the drone claw breaks pallets, and she can figure out the position of whoever has a drone on them, her weakness is that if the survivors can avoid the drone sweep or just run away with the drone to someplace too far from the 3 gens or even you can even prevent the 3 gens from happening she's not that big of a deal, she can only drop 4 drones and be in one place as long as you still have 4 survivors you still got a chance.

I'd say put a lot more attention on to your HUD, and don't disarm her traps unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. They're like cleansing yourself against the plague, if you do it poorly, you'll kill your team (each hacked drone gives the SM a long speed buff and lets them track you.)

Save any toolboxes for the last gen against her.

If you get spotted by her drones, she'll get the killer instinct notification, but she can't track you via her radar once you leave the radius. So in a 3 gen situation, let her start chasing somebody (the little claws on the hud around the survivor's name will twitch while they're in a chase) and during that time, attack the crap out of a gen. She'll either stop chasing that person (in which case they need to start working on one of the gens /fast/) and then you'll run early (because you're exposed for a bit) and start back at step 1. Regression can't keep up with a pair of survivors working on different gens.
