Wraith Players and Unsportsmanlike Tendencies
Just want to see if I'm the only one who has noticed this. It's my experience that Wraith players tend to engage in camping, tunneling, and cheesy builds far more often than not.

Seeing as he's by far the easiest killer to use in the game, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised by those trends. Still though, am I taking crazy pills? Do I just have bad luck? Or, am I right?

Pretty sure it's bad luck. Wraith is super well equiped to find survivors fast after a hook and spread pressure a lot using sloppy butcher. Get everyone injured and then pick off the injured survivors.

Define cheesy builds. If sloppy butcher is now among the cheese, the nerfs to killer perks have gone too far. TOO FAR I TELL YOU.

It's definitely not exclusive to the Wraith, but it does sadly happen frequently WITH the Wraith due to his cloak making it very, very easy to camp undetected. That said, you're just as likely to see such behavior from any other killer, especially ones with capabilities of guarding the hook while going elsewhere (i.e. Knight, Skull Merchant). Unfortunately, despite how all three of those killers can be very fun to play as and against when used in interesting ways the more likely result is the lowest common denominator of exploiting their abilities to turn the game into a boring one-sided dumpster fire of a match. You'll likely see similar exploits with Trapper's bear traps, the Hag's runes, etc if they don't just outright stand there and refuse to leave the hook at all. At best, it's the sign of an unconfident or new killer. At worst, it's people just trying to take the easy way out. It has definitely increased lately with people supposedly "protesting" the upcoming update...In a manner that is completely ineffective at demonstrating anything other than their own poor sportsmanship.

I do hope so. Most of my rounds against Wraiths are not much fun owing to the typical behavior of their players.

While I think Sloppy Butcher's über-hemorrhage is a bit much in combination with its infinite status durations, I don't think of it as cheese. For me, cheese builds are those that basically rely on a bunch of different crutches that aren't synergistic. E.g., NOED without an end-game oriented perk combination. In short, anything that is an attempt to compensate for a lack of player skill or understanding of their killer and the game and not part of a coherent strategy.

Indeed: this seems appropriate for the set of players that likes playing that way. If anything, they're ironically exacerbating the weakness of their position.

Lol camping, tunneling and using "cheesy" tactics aren't unsportsmanlike this has been talked about by the devs that you can't report people for using certain tactics and one of the report reasons is unsportsmanlike like conduct so nice try bud.

It is not just you. I think wraith attracts a certain personality type. I am shocked when I vs. a wraith that isn't really unfun to go against. Have you ever been body blocked in a corner by a wraith for a long time before they finally M1 you? I have. There is no reason for that type of game play. Just go next.

Excuse me, but where did reporting enter into the discussion? No one brought that up or was even suggesting it. Nor was it anywhere implied that anyone was talking about the "Unsportsmanlike" report category. If you took the time to read and comprehend the thread title, it is "Unsportsmanlike Tendencies." Again, there is no specific reference to the Unsportsmanlike report category in here, nor is it once implied. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the general, common sense definitions of the words are what are being used.

Also, by the logic of your clumsy writing, I suppose that the developers and their commentary about things are now a sufficient authority for questions about moral judgement and definitions. Therefore, I propose we all should go and have a little question and answer session with Behaviour about the various problems facing society, or if we're feeling really spicy, ask some existential questions like "What is Good?" Moreover, just to drive home the point, by the logic you presented, we could also conclude cold-blooded murder would be fair and morally acceptable simply if the legal authorities sanctioned it.

Lastly, adding "lol" to your statements (or worse yet, leading with it as you did) and thinking that it somehow strengthens your rhetorical position by attempting to imply that the OP is somehow ridiculous or chucklesome, while neither having nor providing any reasonable basis for such an assessment, rather makes you appear to be an inconsiderate and careless chucklehead. Writing in one long run-on sentence doesn't particularly help that impression either. This is especially bad form in light of your apparent failure to read and comprehend the general meaning of what I was writing to begin with.

Nice try, indeed.

In my experience, Wraiths tend to camp and tunnel a lot. And killers with 1 hit down abilities, or instant stealth tend to camp a lot as well. So Ghostface and Bubba come to mind. When I used to play on xbox, and back when she was played often, Pigs also used to camp a lot.

You say that, yet they keep adding ways to deter killers from camping. Almost like they don't want them to do that...

Reasonable Wraith players are the exception rather than the rule in my experience. Always hitting, then turning invisible to catch up right away and hit again for the down, then going invisible and camping the hook. Almost always using the silent bell addon and all the other tricks that the character was given to be incredibly cheap.

I cannot stand Wraith matches. It's a gut sink every single time I realize I'm facing one. Win or lose I'm not going to have a good time, I'm just going to be annoyed.

Giving him a basic cooldown/overheat mechanic like many others (see the Spirit) is likely to chill those abuse enjoyers.

This doesn't make any sense, he already has a cd mechanic between entering and exiting the bell, what is boosted is his speed while invisible and the addon that went to the base-kit giving haste effect when he comes out of invisibility for the lunge attack to go further

They should make it so people lose collisions when they have birds so wraiths can't bodyblock for so long
