Will uncapping FPS ban me or something?
Will uncapping fps from config files ban me? Cause It's me changing game files for gameplay advantage that most people won't do.

Every change you make to the game files is done at your own risk, as EAC might ban you for it and BHVR won't be able to help you.

FPS unlock causes desync between players, so you would get hit in windows and pallets more often.

Thank you for the reply. ig I'll play at 60 then. Hope they'll give us an option to uncap fps from game settings.

this is not bannable. my 10 friends too, this is safeest option which dont ban you

It doesn't ban you to my knowledge. However please reconsider your actions before you take them. Higher frame rates make the game unstable and unplayable at least last time i checked.

I've been playing 120 fps for 2 years. Haven't been banned atleast not yet.

I have been playing the game since the beta (may 2016), and I have never been banned for changing the fps in the game files. It makes a tremendous different in my ability to react as killer or quickly drop a pallet/hit skill checks as survivor. If your monitor is 120hz+ I definitely recommend it.

You can't necessarily 'uncap' the framerate since the engine is limited to 120fps, but you can go up to that. They capped the framerate at 120, because someone was doing 240fps back in the day and it broke some interactions with nurse making some things that were impossible possible.

my monitor is 165hz and playing at 60fps is so annoying. Did you only change fps or no? I saw a video and the guy changed texture, view distance and shadow quality to 4, did you also change those?

Changing anything in that file won't get you banned, I also changed that a few times and nothing happened.
