- Survivors suffer from a permanent Exposed Status Effect.
This never happened in my games. I don't know what I'm missing.
There is a popular misconception amongst newer Players that due to its name, Exposed reveals their Aura.
This is not the case.
That was me :)
So, I did not see you mention your attacks?
"Exposed" means u can insta-down the survivors with your *basic* attack. Special attacks (using crows) will still deal 1 health state damage. If you don't attack them at all, well, it's as if noed wasn't used.
You are missing the following:
1) Salt of upset Killers when NOED totem gets cleansed very quickly due to the dice god putting it somewhere very visible to Survivors when it activates
2) Salt of upset Survivors when they do get 1 hit downed
3) Salt of upset Survivors when they realize that they no longer can freely sprint around, leaving scratch marks
4) Salt of upset Survivors when NOED activates right before, in the middle, or after tunneling/hook camp
5) Salt of upset Survivors who thoroughly believe that they've officially won the game when all the generators are repaired
Generally speaking, as you've witnessed, as long as Survivors are willing to not get themselves spotted easily, NOED does very little. Operating under the assumption that the killer has NOED used to be standard practice but sadly, the Survivor community obviously had different priorities over the past couple years rather than passing down hard earned knowledge.
Keep after them and it'll pay off.
You will get salt, season some popcorn with it and watch the entitlement rage because to them finishing gens means you aren't allowed to hurt them
The word choice is a bit confusing (what of the Survivors is “exposed”, exactly?) but now I see how I used it wrong.
It's an understandable mistake. In this game the word "exposed" makes much more sense in the context of vision, not vulnerability. It's kind of a poor choice of words on the developer's part.
You can check a list of status effects on the ingame guide. If you dont, probably exposed is the first one you will learn about
