i just now noticed that basekit bt is an actual thing wtf, who endorsed this and how can ppl still complain about tunneling with something like this... (for context i took a break and came back playing mostly survivor with my old build that had bt in and now im playing killer and just noticed this change which i never thought could happen)

How many matches have you played since you’ve been back? You think people haven’t found a way around basekit BT? Like oh I don’t know… body blocking the unhooked person and/or chasing them off hook waiting out their BT to down them again? 🤣🤣🤣 Happens all the time. Tunneling is not going to be undone by one perk change

yh i already do that since i tunnel one surv out from get go but my point is that this is too strong of a change for survs

BHVR making sure the SWF tryhards can make the game of casual killers dreadfull. I love how in this game the horror-factor has passed ages ago and now the killer is the one fearing.

for me they could remove the bt base-kit, it doesn't solve anything around tunnel and it was just an excuse in 6.1 to buff the killers' base-kit, since in exchange to base-kit bt, devs give for killers the cd after hitting a survivor cut by 10% (an big buff for STBFL, which became problematic around camp with 3 stacks, instead of 5 as before) and the survivors' sprint after the hit was also cut by 10%, not giving time to gain space in the chase.

yh tunneling someone out from the getgo makes the game easier besides my point isnt whether ik how to counter it or not, it's that a change like that is too great in favour to survs like it's not like a perk or item change but something that's engraved into the gameplay

Sure it makes the game easier for killer but ruins the game for the people on the other side. I know it’s hard to understand but the game is supposed to be fun for more than just the killer. 🤣🤣🤣 Also you’re not supposed to be guaranteed easy wins every match on either side. Games are supposed to be fun but also a challenge.

You're acknowledging that you're part of the problem and why base kit BT was added in the first place. Camping and tunneling are extremely unhealthy for the game. Learn to play without the crutch and you'll be better for it.

Basekit BT is next to nothing if you try to tunnel, you just time it in your head and hope they don't have OTR or the unhooker gave them more BT time.

Basekit BT at LEAST helps against downing a survivor off hook immediately, which was absolutely needed.

Honestly even as killer that confuses me to leave in, I got grabs when I intended to apply deep wounds to save time and got confused several times until I figured this out.
