Surge of cheating killers?
I'm just wondering, is there some new cheat wave going on? Me and friends are constantly confused by how like 90% of the killers seem to be cheating with various hard to notice cheats. Some things that we seem to notice are:

Speedhacks, two variants: Slightly faster speeds at all time OR extremely faster speeds when noone is looking at the killer

Wallhacks, killer has no aura perks or addons but keeps finding us in the most ridiculous situations, us trying to hide on the other side of the map and killer directly walks to us.

i havent noticed any cheats in dbd lately with expection of one match with a literally floating survivor
hard to tell if you dont have evidence and both point of views to actually tell what the killer did see / killer in your case

Maybe. I had some very suspicious killers last week. I was sitting behind a rock, in the middle of nowhere with no gens and killer was on someone near me. Killer leaves the person, comes up to my rock, and lunges around it to hit me. I figured they had floods of rage or some other aura reading perk/addon but they had none at all. I found that pretty weird

Based on your description, it does seem pretty sus, but without knowing what the killer saw, can't be certain. Maybe they saw your leg poking out as they were chasing and decided you were probably the easier target. Maybe they heard you, if you were injured.

I got accuse of cheating because i could find survivor who are breathing. Because i play both side i know the pathing the majority of survivor take between gen or after a unhook so i can find them easy and they assume i had wallhack on.

The movement speed is probable because bloodlust or a perk many people for that play with your food is a perk or that devour hope give movement speed after an unhook.

Hopefully it was fair play, but if not, hopefully they get found out, quickly.

Yeah. A lot of survivors think that the only way they can be found is cheating when, you know, I saw them go into the locker three seconds ago. Yup, I must be cheating.

Not to say there aren't killer cheaters because holy ♥♥♥♥ there are definitely survivor ones so there are killer ones and there aren't a lot of aura perks and things you can use to find this out.

If only there were a way to replay the match or add in some sort of anti-cheating device that detects unusual speeds/movements, or a feature that automatically disconnects a player who goes underground/10 feet in the air...
oh well.

Yeah a replay feature with all the player perspective wpuld be helpfull to see who hack and who were legit.

But to many people dont know the perk and there effect to accuse the other player of cheating.

Just today i pick up someone who had flip flop and believe me in the end game screen the first thing i check is if the player had the perk to make sure he did not cheat. I can do that because i played a lot of match and i know a huge majority of the perk with the effect they have.

I've seen some weird killers with 1 yellow perks lvl 1 steam or épic games. He found me and my friends hiding and we play with distortion. But no more killers like this since 2 weeks. Cheater are rare (-de 1%) but exist.

Had a demo that was insanely fast, I mean... that boy was sprinting at all times. He also found us at all times and was running no aura reading perks, distortion never went off either. He just knew where we were, even crouching in the stupidest of places or in lockers he was nowhere near or could hear. Otherwise I haven't seen anything else. Just people will good map knowledge.

They should simply implement a feature to auto-disconnect anybody who goes out of bounds, e.g. underground, beyond map edges or on top of inaccessible object, like a roof or a boulder.

I've never had a legitimate bug that placed me on some inaccessible spot, except when playing Nurse. But I've seen plenty of cheaters go on top of walls or big obstacles to recover from being downed or mess with people.

Obviously there should be some exceptions for notably buggy killers, like the aforementioned Nurse, Blight, Twins and Hillbilly.

On top of that, implement a "speed limit", where if you go too fast, depending on role, you are automatically kicked. Set up different maximum allowed speeds for survivors and each killer. In no circumstances should a survivor be able to move faster than at 157% speed. This will fix most teleportation hacks.

Tons of cheaters, survivors and killers, depending on regions, at my side, 90% killers, survivors almost a 100% of cheaters since 4 survivors and most of the time, they're SWFs cheating together.

Usually I'm on the side of it only being a minority, but I do feel like this stuff has increased recently. I've been seeing more of the same kind of dubious speed/wallhacking behaviour. And yeah we can all come up with a list of reasons why they might beeline across the map and lunge into a bush but when it happens multiple times (and usually to multiple survivors), and you're intentionally playing around it after the first time it happens, and we're experienced enough to have a good baseline on what is normal, it does tend to stick out like a sore thumb.
