sometimes it is easy for sadako to predict which tv you might go for and that is when your icon becomes red and you are ready for quick mori why!? cuz she gets a killer instinct which shows your location to her for a short time❗
Well, I really thought that if TV is without a tape then it wont automatically go on. Thanks for info
As a Sadako main, every time I see someone going around with a tape until you get your Mori I think “That guy is insane” Either that or he doesn’t know how it works.
Two more things. Funnily enough, beginner players don’t turn off TVs - in some cases making for a harder game.
However, taking a tape to avoid for Sadako to teleport near where you are can actually warn her that stuff is going on in that area. She can then simply walk there demanifested. When I see that someone has a tape I always look around thinking: “OK, where they don’t want for me to be?”
there are definitely situations where it is right to take the tape and turn off the tv, especially when the killer is more focused on hit and run constantly teleporting or when using specific perks like discordance or tinkerer.
What I usually do (when it's a normal sadako, not a slugger one around condemn build, bc there's no counter around SoloQ) is start repairing the generator and +- at 50% of the repair, I stop and grab the tape from nearby tv just to avoid being disturbed.
The same when the killer has just hooked someone and I'm repairing a generator or I'm healing someone who has just been unhooked, these are situations more like to discourage the killer from tunneling and disturbing or when it is inevitable that she will want to go near the generator area where i am, but then she'll have to take the long path.
This mentality that tvs are useless and killer is a bad pure "m1" is very outdated and degently biased.
Fine, but be alert. If she is nearby and sees a TV go off near a gen she will definitely disturb you.
I tried Slugging Sadako to spread condemn faster (with the Ring Drawing add-on) but it never worked, so I stopped. I don’t know why she was created already nerfed. Killers that count on some form of growing affliction, like diseases, all have their affliction growing faster. With Sadako most of the time no one even bothers.
Sadako can’t tunnel and she can barely chase. Best thing to do mid-chase, if it is becoming a long affair, is to turn around when you hear a failed generator check and teleport there at once. I have seen players scatter after a failed check even with me doing nothing at all. She can literally apply pressure by doing nothing.
So, to avoid this you take the tape while far and alone. However, be warned: a common tactic is to “herd” the Survivors into a three gens lock. Sadako is one of those killers that have to decide which gens are a lost cause and plan accordingly from the very moment the trial starts. Go there to show that you do exist and apply pressure, but be very protective of the 3-4 gens you can easily patrol without teleporting. Don’t be worried when they finish a gen that you couldn’t defend anyway: teleporting around all the time only turns the TVs off for free. And, if you manage a 3 gens lock, brace yourself for the screeches about camping in the after-match.
Playing Sadako sometimes feel like work but she has two good advantages: “The killer is Sadako, Lol!” and “No one expects the Sadako inquisition.”
[No one who is body blocking expect for her to dematerialize, go through the body blocker and rematerialise near the wounded one either. She has a bag of tricks, all weak, but she has a lot of them.]
