Mostly negative reviews.

May i ask if anyone knows why the most recent reviews are mostly negative?

I tried the game out as killer, and survivor. I must say, I enjoyed every minute of it! 😁
Even went so far as to buy a few costumes.

Perks and items that have been overpowered for a long time were recently nerfed so everyone is throwing a hissy fit that the ♥♥♥♥ they were abusing was toned down.

It also didn't help that the last 2 Killers that were released are widely regarded as poor, but it's mostly the temper tantrums.

The most recent patch nerfed the meta on both sides, and a lot of the survivor side is throwing a temper-tantrum about it. Some killers too, but it's exponentially more on the survivor side.

As someone who plays both sides, I can tell you that the game really hasn't changed much. Give it some time and people will adapt and the reviews will eventually change accordingly.

Let's not forget the newest killer is an actual two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a half to deal with as a survivor where games normally take between 5-15 mins depending on the survivors/killers skill. This new killer just yeet that out of the way If you are semi-competent you can lock down the 3 gens you like which are closest to each other and games can go between 15mins to (I wouldn't go to an extreme just yet) to 30 mins.

If you think all the negative are because of the last patch you are wrong. They only reverted most changes because of the backlash.

The devs nerfed both sides. Then, as they've done multiple times in the past, reverted a lot on the survivor side while keeping killer side gutted. Survivors are complaining that they were still nerfed too severely and killers are complaining about literally having no more defense and their ability to kill being taken away from them solely in the name of "survivor's fun"

Not true. Killers could stack multiple gen regression perks and hold a game hostage. It wouldn't make sense to "revert a fix to an exploit". All BHVR did was fix that exploit but in the process gutted survivors again, just like they been doing exactly for 7 years. Killers were not really nerfed. All of their powers are still the same. They still have plenty of gen regression perks as well.
BHVR deserves all the negative reviews they get for being dishonest with balance.

Making sure gens regress isn't holding the game hostage. That is doing what they are supposed to, stop gens, kill survivors.

Pretty much every gen regression perk, besides jolt, has been nerfed as well. So don't try to say they have plenty of perks that are still great.

Having actually read the reviews, the most recent ones aren't really that negative.

In fact, there are people reviewing the game with 0.4 hours talking about how bad the most recent patch is, which has convinced me that there are people that are definitely review bombing this game in some pathetic attempt to get BHVR to reverse their choices.

Hell, here's one who got their product refunded after leaving a negative review. At least their review is well written.

Survivors are crying that they cant be invincible for the entire game with dead hard
Also theyre mad they cant force the killer to take 6 hits before 1 down because CoH and medkits were broken and nerfed appropriately.

Theyre throwing tantrums and will bully BHVR until they get their way
And BHVR will eventually cave in since they have done this pattern 5 times so far, this will be the 6th

Except that killers can choose not to chase. Find 3 gens and sit on them and hold the game hostage. Pain Resonance literally forces survivors to complete 6 gens instead of 5. That's actually game-breaking. Only one perk.

maps like the game make playing killer not fun at all so don't play killer and the devs do like survivors more because they wont fix the game to make it more neutral it doesnt have to be killer friendly just not have 5000 pallets on it
