is runner mode the crouching mode or the standing mode?
(1) Yes it stagger the xenomorph
(2) and also partly preventing the player to see clearly on what it is front of the screen but no blind effect.
(3) Depends on how long the flame hits and if the xeno manages to smack the turret before it's burn away all the crawling ability away.
Usually it forces the xeno to waste a few seconds then have to crawl back into the tunnel to recover their lost crawling ability.
Flame Turrets will knock Xeno out of Crawler Mode (called Runner Mode on PTB) after flaming him for several seconds. While in Crawler Mode and being hit by a Flame Turret, the flames will slightly slow Xeno. The flames also obscure peripheral vision and the direct vision is blocked somewhat as the Xeno puts his arms up to shield his face. A cooking/sizzling sound also plays and the alien screeches give audio cover to the survivors. The Xeno is then staggered for a moment (not stunned, but slowed down even more so) when he is knocked out of Crawler Mode.
While in Normal Mode, the Flame Turrets will still obscure audio and visual for the Xeno, but will not slow him down nor stagger him. Flame Turrets will not cause a Xeno carrying a survivor to drop the survivor, nor will they slow Xeno down as he moves towards a hook. Being flamed in Normal Mode stops and regresses the charge timer for when the Xeno can reenter Crawler Mode.
Keep in mind that many of the Xeno's add-ons cause various effects on the Survivors when he destroys the Turrets or is knocked out of Crawler Mode by them. This means that Xeno can also weaponize the Turrets against survivors, especially if survivors place turrets close to generators
