Switched from controller to mouse & keyboard 🆘
Hello everyone
I was playing DBD on console then i switched to pc and i played with controller for like +4K hours in the game. and then my controller has broken so now i'm playing with M&K and i'm so bad at it :sacrificed: xD. it's hard to press CTRL while moving and also my loop now is very very bad i'm not used to it.

what's the best Keybind to use in the game? or how can i be better with M&K?

thank you so much <3 :thehook:

You will get the hang of it, it's just practice.
Once your pinky finger is properly trained you should have no more issue with CTRL.

I map it to one of the side buttons on my mouse. Good luck. :bb2die:

It'll take a while to train your muscle memory but you'll get it soon enough. It's not very difficult. Adapting to such things is something humans as a species are good at.

And I think you'll appreciate healing another survivor and dropping a pallet not being bound to the same input as well.

As for key binds? Whatever feels best for you. Genuinely. I use Ctrl, because I just have long fingers. Some people prefer Shift to sprint instead, and either Ctrl for crouching, or the C key.

I bind crouch to alt because it’s so much easier to shift my thumb to there from the space bar

Just a reminder, let's be civil and respectful of how people are playing, or choosing to play, the game (within the Game Rules, of course!)

I was the EXACT SAME way, psh, I understand entirely, I understand that steeper-than-expected initial learning curve. I went for a solid 10-15 years without PC games, and having held a controller since the NES days, its second nature to me regardless of evolution. When I finally got a gaming laptop and got Overwatch for it... learning to shoot with a mouse was... painful rofl

As others have said, its something you get used to over time. Some PC games I still prefer controller, and DbD especially, I am 99% mouse and keyboard, except Hillbilly... no idea why but I feel most comfy with it for him compared to M&K.
