I'd suggest waiting for the sale (the base game is now on sale for $7.99), so you can overwhelm yourself with more content for the buck.
But maybe look into the packs of killers and packs of survivors. Cause it may be cheaper to purchase lots of characters instead of lots of DLC. On the other hand... a lot of the DLC come with an extra piece of an outfit that you can't purchase otherwise, but I haven't checked if those outfit pieces are in the character packs.
I first focused on purchasing the licensed DLC, cause you can purchase the original DLC with iri shards. But thats not always the best strategy.
