Invalid version of the game error

I've been getting this error code for an hour now. Things i tried :

-Actually attempting to update the game but no new version exists
-Verify the files
-Make sure the system's date is correct (thats something to worry about apperantly)
-Close steam / pc

Edit:
-Reinstall the entire game
-Update
-Delete game files and verify
-Make sure the internet works in the first place

I really cannot think anything else to do, and my drive works this is the only game that does not want to launch. I got multiple other steam games on my libary and they work like a charm.

Reinstalling is the only suggestion I have for you. I don't recall hearing anyone have this issue recently. You sure you're not trying to start the PTB? I can't really think of anything else.

I can't even think how many times i re-installed this game since 2018 . A whole new PC with a whole new drive and somehow this game finds a way to break itself. Suppose you are right.

No its not PTB since i din't even attempt to try PTB beacuse last two times i tried that similar thing happend. I have no idea how this keeps happening.

My only other guess is that maybe you're playing on something that isn't Windows or Linux. And the Linux support is recent, so there's always room for issues there.

On windows 10 and cheers for the help, it was my router for some reason.

Well never mind it still happens. Yesterday i tough it was beacuse of my connection but no that cannot be the case at the minute.

I did litteraly everything to make this work no for real why does this happen?

Absolutely no idea. I don't think I've had this happen before.

Absolutely no idea. I don't think I've had this happen before.

I did dig up some old threads its both good that im not the only one but at the same time no one found any fixes which is scary.

Cheers for your input non the less i resorted to sending a detailed ticket to the support see what they turn up with.
