So I just got the perk yesterday from the shrine and tried it out. Does anyone know why my endurance goes away when I get on a gen?

Conspicuous action disables any endurance buff you have but keeps the rest (aura and grunts of pain)

i think there is a description in the perk itself of what is considered conspicuous action

The Endurance effect is "Canceled prematurely if you preform a Conspicuous Action
-Blessing a Totem
-Cleansing a Totem
-Healing yourself or another Survivor
-Opening an Exit Gate
-Repairing a Generator
-Sabotaging a Hook
-Unhooking another Survivor

Off The Record is used mainly as an Anti-Tunneling perk for this reason. Although the Surprised grunts of Pain and the Anti-Aura reading do not get canceled early so you can retain these for the full 80 seconds.

Healing, Blessing/Cleansing Totems, doing gens, opening gates, sabotaging and unhooking are consider Conspicuous actions. Basically if you can do any of that you are not really getting chased after being unhooked so there is not really a need for you to have endurance as Off the Record is supposed to be an anti tunneling perk
