Nemesis is also awkward to control, but I had a much easier time learning him. It's instantly obvious what his gimmick is; hit people in loops. The ability to hit over pallets and low walls without relying on ammunition is clearly useful, and punishes GOOD survivors.
Conversely, Billy seems to only be able to get hits on idiots that run in a straight line; using it around any sort of cover seems worse than just swacking them with my hammer.
He is punishing beyond belief and stupid hard to learn but getting those curves at loops or crossmaps will always be satifying
Using the chainsaw to cover a lot of ground in order to be places the survivors aren't expecting is a solid use of the dash, even if you aren't hitting them.
Back Revving (revving the chainsaw if you're right on top of the survivor) instead of hitting M1 is a way I've seen folk get the 1 hit downs.
Now that there's the ability to have bots, I'd suggest creating a bot match just to get a handle on his turning radius and all that comes with sprinting around the map like a maniac.
For traveling make sure you use your chainsaw in areas that are not dense with clutter and arc your path as you move. Usually going straight to a generator means going straight into a bunch of clutter where as if you arc around you tend to get near to the objective without obstruction.
DON'T use the turning boots unless you're a Billy veteran. You'll be more likely to straight up miss a Survivor who is right in front of you. It's a very sensitive add-on.
My experience is limited with him so its the only tip i know that killer give me motion sickness everytime i use him because of the leaping. If he could walk straight i would main him probably.
When he's revving his dpi or turn rate is increased to 200 or 400%(not exact, can't remember). Best advise check your sensitivity, go custom against bots, and find the 'feel' for his flicks.
Also don't be ashamed to m1. He's such a rare breed now, most og's like myself don't care if you m1.... Just... Play.... Billy. You WILL be reduced to m1, ing good survivors without using double engravings. Bitter murmur is good for cross map snipes, or just run undying and thrill with silent chainsaw outside terror radius for surprise hits. Low pro is also a fun add on to run and catch people off guard. Gl, hope this helps.
Tldr; I'm all ears is my fave perk on killers it works on, and let me say this, Billy is one of them. Never play without it.
Set it between 70-100% If you want to curve properly.
You need to know exactly how survivors will loop certain tiles, and what loops you can curve around.
Even landing a simple chainsaw on someone you're running directly behind can be wonky.
You want to try to "Back rev" Where you get close to them and charge up your saw till like 98/99% but don't fully send it, wait till you're confident you're lined up on them and then try.
Just going straight into the saw fully charging it without taking time to aim when its almost ready to go is something I see newer players do.
Definitely Not a killer I'd recommend for newer players. I only play him when I'm in the mood to scream everytime I miss a saw
Edit: https://www.twitch.tv/gtvel This guy is the best billy I've seen, although since they killed Spacebilly, I dont think he plays as much. He doesn't really sweat when he plays, just goes for fancy saws.
