hatch spawn?

what triggers hatch spawns? i know at 1 survivor it always spawns but when else? asking for key use etc

the hatch only spawns when there's only one survivor left alive in the trial
said survivor can use the key to re-open it after you've closed it, if they can find it

it only spawns when there is no other survivor than the last one remaining in the trial (no matter if rest have escaped, have been killed or both)

oh i didnt know they changed it. back in the day when i played alot it could spawn with more people up.

You must be the last survivor alive killer must be close the hatch you must find the hatch open it with the key and escape pretty much useless

Yeah, after that hatch update, the key's only use is it's add ons, and in the instance that the hatch both spawns, the killer kicks it closed, and you find it during the end game collapse to re open it.

it used to spawn when the number of complete gens was more than the number of survivors left in the trial, so you needed 5 gens done if nobody had been killed, but it stayed closed. This was how you did the 4 ppl escape via hatch ach.

Now you have to be the last person in the trial. The icon appears when its spawned in.
