Wesker - Hindered status effect is broken
This effect only encourages the main Wesker's to tunnel the same survivor since after the hook they just have to wait a few seconds for the survivor to lose speed and not be able to get from one pallet to another.

This needs to be checked, Wesker's power shouldn't give Hindered status.

It's pretty useless tbh I don't think I've gotten use out of it

The fact that lots of killer camp and tunnel these days is pathetic
Like I love to play good survivors and this game is not that hard
This game still has bs that can be abused but come on
Would it better to make it less effective if a Wesker tunnels instead of just removing it?

Well... it does take some time to reach the maximum infection. I have not encountered any Wesker who tunneled to be honest, so hard to tell for me yet >.<

What they could do is similar to Pig's reversed bear trap, pause the infection when you're in a chase. This could be exploited still ofcourse, but it will take much more time get fully infected in case the killer decides to chase you for it.

However this I would have it applied while you're just unhooked for some time like 60-80 seconds. Because in regular chases this effect is kinda way to catch up survivors at some point, otherwise Wesker becomes too weak >.<

I doubt the devs will change something about it, unless they re-work the hindered status effect in a way that the slowdown is not applied for some time after being unhooked.

Aside from everything else, Wesker is pretty much balanced already :>

jup welcome to Wesker, a killer who is being rewarded for taking too long in chase when he has you infected and who will tunnel you straight off the hook no matter how the match is going. tbf I don't think I necessarily have an issue with him having that ability in particular it's mostly just the fact that he is, like many killer, at 115% movement speed despite of his high mobility, one hit ability and slowdown ability (one could argue tracking but that's... ye..)

Lol it takes you 100 seconds to reach full infection after the initial virulent bound hit.

Are you saying that Wesker players stay in chase for 100 seconds for you to get fully infected? You're being ridiculous.

And lets say they are. GOOD! It gives your team AT LEAST one generator worth of progress.

And to add another point, there are 6 chests in the realm. Each spray has 2 uses.

It means Wesker would need to infect healthy survivors 12 times in total for it to be permanent. And considering most of the time that you use your power on the same survivor, thats already 12 hook stages, and a game end. And thats assuming he ONLY downs people with his power.

"Just wait a few seconds for you to lose speed." Is a ridiculous statement.

He has two addons that makes the infection faster. One is active, the other is passive.

If you get hit by a Wesker using both, even then it takes around 70 seconds to get fully infected.

If Weskers chased people until they were fully infected, they would never win.

If you think a wesker player is actively using the infection you are outta your mind. The infection takes too long to activate. There is too many first aid sprays. The lunge is all wesker has. Complaining about a ability that doesnt even get used that much if at all makes me worry about how soft people have gotten. If anything this thread is a good thing and brings attention to half of a killers power being deemed useless and something that could use a buff.

they really wanted to sell him, he has one of the most stacked kit ever while also being relatively easy to use compared to the other top tier killers

I am not a fan of the design philosophy bhvr has had for the last few years of "put as many things into every kit as we can get away with". You could honestly completely remove the slow hindered effect from this ability, remove the half of the vaccines from the map, and just let the infection allow for instant pickups and Wesker would still perform just fine. The fact that they gave a killer with a double dash the ability to nuder your movement speed is insane to me.

Simple solution: pause the infection's progress when being chased, similar to Pig's traps.

They should buff the infection side of him and nerf the lunge. Maybe add a bunch of addons that make the infection do interesting things while it's in progress, as fitting the lore (RE fans can make better suggestions). Currently every Wesker plays out exactly the same and double gap close/ranged attack is nonsense to play against in a game like this where survivors have no active abilities worth a damn (unless you count vaulting or dropping palettes, oh the excitement - and both actively punished by him, of course).
