I will assume you will be doing mostly save attempts with the flashlight, and I will laugh when I hit you while you're trying to blind me.
If the dodge in the loading screen make it could be because of a map offering and not the flashlight. If 3 or more survivor use a flashlight its not a surprise that the killer use lightborn to counter that.
The best time to bring a flashlight is if you are the only one with it. Btw make sure you dont last sec swich this can result in a dosge too.
Challenges are exactly it. If you get one of those "blind the killer ten times" things, flashlighting them to the face after dropping a pallet is the fastest, safest way to rack up that many, and you don't have to get off a gen for it, either.
Also, I used to use Lightborn against flashlight squads, but the longer I play, the more I prefer Franklin's Demise. Lightborn's aura read is nice while it lasts, but it's no joke that survivors who've come to depend heavily on items will take risks and make themselves easier to hit/catch trying to get those items back, and Franklin's lets you see where their stuff landed after they dropped it.
Also, I already waste too much time chasing some of these survivors that gens are popping don't want to waste more time adding these items to the patrol.
