The Ghostface license likely has some combination of a more favorable revenue split and is more open to having alternate designed slapped on their intellectual property. Since the Nightmare license was aimed more at the reboot than the Robert Englund version, we don't get a beach Freddy, chef Freddy, or television set Freddy.

The Ghostface license is for the mask. They licensed the mask from a costume company.
So this is different from franchise licenses, they didn't license Scream.

This gives them way more leeway into what they can do, since Danny is essentially an original character with a licensed costume piece.

I'm hoping given that we had a tome for Tapp and Pig "relatively recently" it's an indication that BHVR and the license holders for the Saw IP are still on good terms- and that there's a chance she might get a unique theme/chase music at some point. Pig is one of my favorites and it makes me sad to think she along with some other characters like Leatherface might just be left with the default chase theme due to being stuck in license limbo.

Just to add to what Tamamo said, the Ghostface (Danny Johnson) in DBD is actually an original character for DBD and only the mask itself is licensed. This gives them more freedom to make cosmetics and change Ghostface's chase music

i mean the reason they dont get skins is bc theyre licensed characters tho, BHVR only has permission to do so much with them. i wanna say theres something weird with ghostface where hes not technically the same character as the one in the scream movies so thats why he gets more skins

People in Low MMR play Myers, Pig, Freddy etc. as well. There is no correlation there, BUT they definitely have given killers some love to boost sales before.

Ghostface (danny) has zero connection to the movies so he's actually a DBD original character. The costume company itself also already has so many variants of the GF mask such as the devil, the bloody one, the zombie, the metal and the best one, WAZZUP. so they likely handed those over easier than alot of the other people did. Id KILL to have more skins for mikey but its a reality drenched in greed and thus will never happen unless they ponied up.
