Blood warden, how do you activate them ?

Hi folks I got the nightmare yesterday and I tried the blood warden perk and I don't know it kind of didn't start up for me for some or a reason.

I equipped the perk, and I put dream trap at the switches on both exits and waits.

The survivor activate the switch but somehow didn't activate the dream snare I place, how odd ?

then afterward I was hoping the blood warden will activate when the survivors hit the exit but nope the survivors just went pass it.

Like what did I do wrong ?

I read the description on how it supposed to work.. I think I got it covered but it doesn't activate like what is going on ?

assuming it didnt get a rework or changed. after the exit gates are opened blood warden is suppose block the exit (not the exit switch) after you hook a survivor. Might be wrong, been a while since i used it

Sounds like you misunderstood the perk, The perk doesn't block the exit gates automatically, you have to hook someone after the exit gates are open then the perk blocks the gate.

Yeah I was mentioning that I use dream snare on the switch and it didn't get people screaming as they stand on it as it supposed to, how odd ?

Weird I saw in you tube it activate automatically , turn out I need to hook someone at the end game collapse ?

Oh I see, I saw in youtube videos it activate like automatically as people runs to the exit, turns out I need to hook someone after the gate is opened ?

The dreamsnares only trigger when the survivor is in the dreamworld (same with the dreampallets). If they are awake, the dreamsnare does not exist for them.

Blood warden activates if the exit gate is already opened if you hooked someone

dream snares only trigger on survivors in the dream world
survivors against freddy have a passive rate of falling asleep
freddy puts a survivor into the dream world by hitting them once

they can get woken up shortly by a teammate or with a (30second?)
additional wake state by using a clock, wich also spawn when against freddy

freddy has a (iri?) add on that blocks recently opened exit gates similar to blood warden independnt from hooks

so try it again with the "rare" add on, make sure they are asleep
might have to hit them for that
use his add on to hook someone trying to escape
wich will then activate blood warden

Yeah I fast read the explanation and missed the point about need to hook a person, and base upon youtube videos that I see 3 months ago didn't know I had to hook a person after the gate is open. My fault for not reading it carefully again thanks for letting me know.
