exit gate instantly opened in 1 second?

had a game today where the end game countdown started in about 1 second after the final generator was completed. does anyone know how this is possible?

all 4 of us were alive, 3 were on the final generator and 1 was caged from pyramid head. i ran to the closest exit gate when the gen was 90%, it was like 30 feet away. before i even got there end game countdown started, so i assume that means the other exit gate on the other side of the map was opened? i couldnt go check because killer

is something im missing, or is the only way this is possible some hacks?

Two possibilities:
- the Killer opened one of the two gates (he can do it in 1-2 seconds)
- or a Cheater was in the game.

I dont play pyramid head but sometimes I open the gate if the survivors played well or if I just want to move on to the next match. In fact if it's bad enough I'll go stand there until the last gen is done and open them.

Then it never fails that at least one of them waits until the last second to exit. Just leave already. I opened the gate for a reason.

Yup, or at least open one exit gate... The Killer can open an exit gate within a few seconds to initiate End Game Collapse, or kick the hatch closed to start EGC as well (if there is only 1 survivor left to have it appear). The killer cannot open both gates, or open any gates if they kicked the hatch closed to start EGC.

When im having a very bad match and just want the Game to end I go to the Exit gates, instantly open it once the last gen is done and turn off sounds.
Far too often have I endured "waiting it out" or try to maybe catch someone. Just leave

my recommendation play more Killer it helps a lot

blood warden. killer opening exit gate is legit strat to put a timer on survivors.
