matchmaking is absolutely terrible and unfair
i got 240 hours in the game and I'm going against killers with over 3000 thousand hours? like literally a prestige 100 huntress, blights, nurses, what is wrong man I can't even play this game smh

I've been going up against survivors with thousands of hours since i had less than 25 hours. There's no real concrete matchmaking system. There's a soft cap which is really easy to reach and once you do your matchmaking pool is open to nearly any player. Sometimes you will get a baby kill sometimes a serial killer. I will say i think its easier to be new survivor vs a good killer than vice versa cause of the numerous perks that can extend chases and give 2nd chances.

SWF also throws things out of alignment. You may only have 250 hours, but everyone else on your team may have 3k+.

Check your teamate hour too.
Hours dont mean anything for the mmr and its the week end its full of swf lobby and because of that the casual killer go survivor and the killer main play there best killer with there best addon. You choose to play the game at the wrong time and you should wait for monday before opening the game.

i had a game the other day as survivor ( i have 4400 hours in the game) and went against a killer that only had 200 hours.. i felt bad after the game when i realized why i could outrun them so easily. really unbalanced :( I like to win but i wanna win cause of a challenge

prestige means nothing xD my most used survivor is rebecca who is prestige 14 and im constantly going against higher prestige killers who aren't that good i survive most games im in, as killer im up against prestige 100/high prestige survivors all the time and i team wipe nearly every game xD prestige doesn't = skill, just have fun with the game :)

welcome to dbd :awkward:
Yes I encounter kind of similar case, there are ultra elite skillful killers that just mow down survivors we're still having 5 gens aka we didn't even manage to get a single gens done at all.

Doesn't happen once happens like 4 times in a row out of 10 matches and the rest are 1 win out of 10 matches,

When you meet a good killer it's no joke they're really good. when they hunt they get their target doesn't make any mistakes and always hook them successfully.

Could be that it is due to the reset in ranking status per monthly thing and those ultra elite killers haven't able to climb up to their high level matches yet and still working their way up again.

The matchmaking gives you a tendency to get players closer to your skill level (as defined by the system) on average.

Every single game can turn out differently though, especially if there is a large unbalance in the players who queued up at that time. If there is only a 100 prestige murder Nurse available, you get a 100 prestige murder Nurse even if your MMR is much lower.
