The first resident evil collection (Leon, Jill, Nemesis) is a decent buy, survivor perks are okay but Lethal/Eruption from Nemesis are great for killer. Pinhead has good killer perks. Silent Hill's Cheryl has perks that synergize well with others, Pyramid Head can be fun if you like technical killers.

This, Nick cage coming the 25th, everything will most likely be on sale.

One other thing would be to only initially buy Licensed DLC, because you can only get them with Real money. Things like Halloween/Saw/Nightmare on elm/resident evil ect.

Look out for sales. They have up to 50% off sometimes, so don't rush into anything until you know your play-style more.

Legion is good for newer players, and has the perk 'Discordance', which is very good for knowing which generator to prioritize. Feng Min's perk 'Alert' is very good for knowing where the killer is fairly consistently, except it doesn't always work on stealth killers.

You shouldn't need too many DLC to start with. Some of the perks you get with the game are good for new players, and I still have some in builds, e.g. For killer: Jolt, or Sloppy Butcher. For survivor: Lightweight, or Deja Vu.

By playing the game, you earn Iridescent Shards which can be used to purchase things, but not Licenced DLC. They're good for unlocking a survivor or killer where you don't necessarily want to buy both together in the dlc, so you can unlock one or the other.

well, it depends. You can have all non liscenced character for free with iriscend shard, so it is better to buy liscenced character. What you want? Strong killer? meta perk? Fun killer? fun perks? Or a main character? Or just a cool survivors? etc. And there is often sales on dbd, it is better to wait a little ;)

None, just play the game for now. Dwight and Meg have amazing perks along with universal ones. Save Iri shards and buy Legion, learn both sides and then you can start to think about spend money.

Honestly I bought the killer and survivor expansion packs and that has done me real good. Apart from that, buy any killer or survivor you think you would like.

Buy Wesker, best killer in the game in terms of viability and fun.

I'd take some time and watch folk on Youtube / twitch play the role that you want. If it's killer, try and watch the gameplay for that specific entity; somebody might seem neat in description, but their playstyle might not be a match for you

Killer or surv?
Fierce1 Jul 18, 2023 @ 9:32pm
First and foremost: Original killers and survivors can be acquired by spending the in-game currency "Shards". You don't need to spend a penny to buy original content.

Secondly: Only ever buy DLC chapters when they're on sale. There's typically sales whenever something new is added, and seeing as Nicolas Cage is releasing next week, there's probably going to be a sale on all, but him.

Thirdly, research the killers and their survivor counterparts before making purchases/investments. It's best to know what you're getting into before you commit your hard earned cash to something am I right? Look up killer powers, survivor and killer perks, survivor and killer outfits, etc.
