So, cheats are on the rise again

And it's worse than ever. Both yesterday and today I faced cheaters that very obviously crashed the lobby mid-game, forcing a disconnect penalty on you.

I thought it was a coincidence yesterday. The killer lost pretty badly and once every gen was done and the team was heading to the exit gates, the game suddenly began to stutter and freeze. After about 5-10 seconds the match ended and with message "Disconnected from the Host", forcing a penalty on everyone.

Today it was the other way around. I was playing killer and when I downed the last survivor, he kept standing up with full health within a second multiple times. At that point I knew it was a cheater, but then the same happened. Game stuttered, nothing happened for 5-10 seconds, match ended with the same message and an increasing penalty.

This is a worse hacking wave than ever, because they can force longer and longer disconnect penalties on everyone in the match. We can't wait weeks like usually for a fix, this needs to be addressed immediately.

I get random disconnect too, in the middle of a match, and my internet is fine, it's just the game that freeze and/or crashes. So, is it an issue with the game or is it, in fact, foul play from some players ?

I agree, i got some cheater a few day ago. You just need to not view the survivor while hit or pick them, if you got him in your screen while do that it will make you like freeze sensation and may be disconnected. Just try blind hitting and pick up against cheater like that, we can know it when some lag occur anomaly so just gambling and hope we got luck to kill the cheater. :)

In my experience, it may be cheater either killer or survivor. It may your random mate in the lobby as survivor too. I also got freeze in report after match after hooking cheater that make lagging / freeze when we try to hit or pick them up. It really unnatural when you got freeze / lag in after match report right? and it still happen when i try to report it.

You gotta evaluate that on a case-to-case basis. Random disconnects can happen. But they are very rare in my personal experience. If it happens repeatedly and in very obvious situations, there's not much room for debate.

I dont think the first instance is hacking i just believe the server are terrible right now and its been like that for a little while now.

Second point that a hacker for sure.

I found a very dubious survivor the other day playing as fellow survivor. I got footage of them going down and instantly teleporting 20 meters FORWARD and away from the killer, leaving the killer bewildered to give up chase. They approached a generator from the left side and fell out of midair, as if teleported, to the right side of the generator where they began working on it. I called out the hacking in post-game chat and it was a group of people defending their friend, saying "that's just how their wifi is, they lag like this all the time." I thought to myself, "if they are able to lag out and avoid getting hooked, that's some gift, but also maybe they shouldn't be playing with such a bad connection, it's unfair."

They sought my name out out on Twitch, come to find, and whispered me some nasty abuse for when I logged in to watch EVO later. Surely this was the response of a humble survivor suffering a bad wifi signal.

Ppl can do all kind of ♥♥♥♥ to your PC while connected to the Game. Best example would be Darksouls 1-3 and why they had to go offline for months lmao

Dbd related: As soon as they have your something (assume IP but no clue tbh) they can enter ALL your lobbies

What you're describing is a poor internet connection, not a hack. Check your speeds, drops.

While I know there are people that go far, you are talking about actual Ddosing probably and that also does not kick your from a game but shuts down your whole internet or attacks all the servers. Again, not an individual just kicking you from one game on dedicated servers. It's just not very likely.

I got the most unsubtle cheating killer I have ever encountered this morning. As soon as the match started, they teleported to us, downed us in one hit, teleported us to hooks, and killed us in one hook. I actually got it on video and it's bizarre.

doubt its cheating though and its just bhvr's terrible ass servers that they use
