I mean, if you want to lower your MMR "without throwing", then keep doing what you're doing.

Killing survivors = MMR go up

Survivors escaping = MMR go down.
As for survivors, does it go up if i escape or any of my teammates?

It only goes up if you escape or down if you die. Context of everyone else or whatever else happened in the match doesn't matter. It only cares about the end result.

The game considers it a four separate survivors having their own 1v1s against the killer. Disconnects are treated as a mulligan - the survivor won't lose MMR for disconnecting. Obviously, weak survivors who inflate their MMR above their skill levels by serial disconnecting to avoid loses are just going to have a bad time.

There's only one exception otherwise to this rule and that is hatch escapes. Nobody gains or loses MMR if the survivor escapes via hatch.
Thank you, now i get it

Play like this:

a. Never kill anyone until you have hooked everyone twice.
b. Don't use slowdown perks. Use perks that create fun, that is not YT / Twitch Try hard meta.

I recommend the following if you have them:

i. Nurses calling
2. Nowhere to hide
3. Dragons Grip
4. Trail of Torment.

We sometimes call this the "I See You" build.

You may not win, but you will have more fun games, and still pip half the time. Once you have been Red Grade 0ne, there is no great incentive to get back there in my view. So, just swap to playing for fun. Besides, since they changed from Rank to Grade and ditched the float rank system month to month, its nothing but a grind anywho. Plus we show Prestige in lobby, which is 100% meaningless.

Yes, the MMR will drop, but in truth the games are just random nowadays anyway. MMR is basically noob tier, and everyone else. (shhh don't tell the twitchers).

I think its a lot about mind set. If you stop caring about winning so much, you enjoy it more, but also oddly, that caring less about it, canI think lead to a more relaxed efficiency.

Another aspect of this, is chat will be better. There are a lot of mixed teams, and they often appreciate, if you don't tunnel out or kill in the first 3 minutes that team mate who never played before, and is in a game with their 2000 hours team mates.

If you find you drop too far, (in to noob MMR), you can step the personal game difficulty up again. Then make it so you hook no one, for a second time, until you have hooked everyone once already. Noobs appreciate this, as it keeps them in game, and that is what most want, as if you remember when you first play, its often over so fast, you can never work out what is going on or get into it.

If you want to really challenge yourself, as a sort of meta game, try hooking the four in order of their portraits, 1-4, then again for second hook 5-8, in the order. Do this before you kill anyone. I find even total noobs treated in this way, can often get 5 gens done, by the time you do this. (Which is some sort of testament to good game design at heart, I guess).

I really think the game would benefit from an in game award for doing this. Some point scheme that says, "well done for hooking all 4". "Well done for hooking all 4 once", Well done for hooking all 4 twice. With the condtion, being, no one can be dead to get this awards, before you do them.

My view is the Entity has allegedly brought everyone here. to the realm, to be entertained. And i fail to understand what the Entity, can see in watching camping games over and over,, or in seeing the same killer (e.g. wsker), in 50% of games.

Sometimes, as well, its just good to randomly pick some perks you never used, and just see how they go. Who cares if you looser really, its just a game. So much of this, is really map knowledge, and that is seldom discussed on Twitch or You tube streams, because it takes away from the Myth of play skill and meta perks, which are the titles of 99% of the vids.

If you read this, two exception to the above:

01. You can kill toxic clickers, who ask for it.
02. You sometimes have to kill the team, when one or two die by their own mistakes and the game starts to drag. I try to keep games to 20 minutes absoulte max.

To a large extent, that is the basic heart of the matter. I just then try to make those games more fun. then, through choices, and perks.
MMR can't be manipulated or seemingly even be changed for that matter. Once your in it there is no way back.

As a killer - do not kill.
As a survivor - do not survive.
That simple.
Thanks everyone!

Keep in mind you cant go below certain thresholds. You can drop from (made up numbers 1600 to 1000 but not below 1000

If your highest killer reached 1600 MMR then all your other killers were set to 1200 MMR minimum.

"Throwing" is the only way to reset your MMR but good luck deranking all that.

i believe there is no mmr.
only a "fresh man" save space

as killer even after 100 4ks in a row. still ppl with only 100hours-2000hours and often ppl with higher hours play worse than low hour player. its very confusing.

someone meantioned that you can manipulate this. if this would be true.... nah its impossible. would be too easy to abuse as killer and as surivvor.... i mean cmon you stay in front of a open gate and you dont leave? to stay against baby killers? what is the point of that? there is no reason to do that.

i see a slightly chance to have something like mmr if you reach 6k+ hours in the game. at this point youre automaticly medicore in the game and should only face ppl with the same amount of hours. below 6k hours everyone is playing with the same skillcap and like a good relationship. killer is always half of your hours. even than he will win, because survivor dont do gens.

its a lot of text but the main message is. there is no mmr. just play the game.
