How long do you think it would take a new player to unlock everything without spending money?
Just buying the base game, how long do you think it would take a new player to unlock all non licensed characters and then p 1-3 them to unlock all their perks? It's absurd to expect someone to get all licensed perks off the shrine, but if we include that, that's probably another few thousand hours right?

its thousands of hours at a bare minimum and thats assuming you're making a lot of points per game and not wasting points past p3 on any character

to actually unlock the nonlicensed? i could see that taking 5k hours on its own if not more

its not a low number, you aren't realistically approaching it without paying for most of that content

I would unlock just p1 of every character because tier 2 and 3 of every perk will appear in the bloodweb, maybe soon maybe later, of other characters. This is what I did and then I played with my Mikaela favourite skin, evolutionate her and before p5 she has all perks at tier 3.

And I would wait for a discount on the survivor or killer set because it's better than farming shards.

:sacrificed: im sorry he/shes right i dont have everything after hundreds of hours and purchasing most dlcs i couldnt imagine using my shards for killers all this time instead of the shrine for perks

they reduced the grind but its still there dont worry sorry m8

For every match (that lasts over 10 minutes) you'll earn XP that on average gives you 44 iridescent shards. Characters cost 9000 iridescent shards, there are 17 killers and 18 survivors you can unlock with those shards, leading to 315000 shards required. You need to play 7159 matches minimum to earn enough shards to buy every character.

There are 10 killers and 10 survivors that require real money to earn, but you can (potentially) buy their collective 60 perks from the shrine of secrets, for a grand total of 120000 shards (for perk level one), which requires 2727 matches minimum to earn.

This adds to a total of 9886 matches minimum to unlock all perks and non-licensed characters you can get without spending any money.

Bloodpoints are trivial compared to iridescent shards, you'll earn bloodpoints at a much faster rate than you can hope to use them if you're only concerned about unlocking stuff.

I've been playing since 2019 and I still haven't unlocked everything. But I don't need to unlock every killer/survivor. I buy perks that I want through the shrine when they appear, if I really want it I'll spend shards to get the specific killer. But there are killers I will never unlock because they don't interest me, nor do their perks.

Some killers/survivors you can't unlock with shards, you have to buy because they are licensed: Mastermind, Shape, Nightmare, Pig, Ghost Face, Demogorgon (You can't buy anymore, it's unavailable to those who don't already own it), Executioner, Nemesis, Cenobite, Onryo.

its 3-5k h+- its kinda p2W because u can unlock them instandly if u pay to get the perks u want ( shrine is garbage . since release of the shrine 0xsoulguard. u could wait years for your desired perk)

to unlock all original killers(16) new player need to reach devotion 6
its 96 hours of gameplay (without looking for match, waiting in lobby etc) for 1 devotion.
so around 600 hours (its 576 hours and i take 24 hours of waiting for match and other stuff) someone can unlock all original killers

for survivors its devotion 7

i say it 576 hours of total in match time. not in menu or waiting for a match.
my info is from wiki.

"Time spent in a Trial (capped at 10 minutes):
1 XP per second"
total exp to lvl 99 - 348,270 XP

maybe we just siting too much in bloodweb, archives and in finding match screens :)

yeah you totally right mate, but no one can do the math for "how much time someone will spend in menu" so let it be 576 hours + menu time that can double this :)
