Pre game lobby chat

Anyone know why i cant type in the pregame lobby? Im able to type at the end when the match ends and in the lobby while looking for a lobby to join.

Because you're playing killer or u just need to click to the left side of the blakc chat area.

As a survivor when the match is gonna start i cannot type in chat or even read the chat. There is only a little black bubble box icon to the right and thats it and when i click on it nothing happens its weird.

Did you press with M1 into the little text window below the chat itself, before trying to type?

yes i have and nothing pops up for me

if you're playing killer you can't chat to survivors, but if you're playing survivor try clicking the chat box or hitting enter but other than that idk

Can you post a little video of it? Would help immensely. Otherwise you're out of luck.

You know how you can close the chat box with the bottom to the right where you can type ? Its only the button for me you can even test it yourself when you’re in the lobby you can open and close the chat box. For me its just closed before the match starts but in end game lobby i can type.
