Yesterday I watched a streamer spectate a match with bots, where they dc'd on purpose to see how well the bots play. It was a lot of fun to watch, but when faced with The Doctor, the bots could not hit any skill checks to get rid of the insanity, and when faced with plague they kept getting rid of the status effect asap. I bet there is a lot to improve on the bots still, but also balance out.
He probably meant to say: If bots are better THAN real players, THEN real players are not needed anymore in this game.
I say it for years, but a sickening big part of the survivor community has never learnt basic game concepts because they where carried by Discord. A bot on the other hand has nothing but scripts to do basic gamemechanics.
but as mentioned in the developer update, they will continue to improve the survivor bot AI so hopefully it will be better in the near future.
