Access to my browser's information?!
Hello BHVR,

I love how vague you made the new EULA. Why the hell would you want access to my browser's data while I'm playing a video game?!

Clarify when you are collecting which data.

From reading the legal jargon, at least from my understanding, the privacy policy on collecting browser information collects data that is relevant to BHVR's websites (Official Forums and whatnot) and uses cookies from those to save login information or other personal data related to those services.

Now I could be wrong, I'm no lawyer, but that's the interpretation I'm getting rereading all of this.
If its only that then fine really .

Privacy is just a word nowdays, litteraly everything is trying to spy on you and even games do that now it seems, what the hell.

Thing is how many people will leave beacuse of it? Thats questionable.

I have no doubt that i have at least few devices and applications that are monitoring my work already. I started to use a vpn after a long time so one more looking for it i mean whatever.

Don't get me wrong, i totally get if someone nukes this games directory after the new policy but looking at the number count i didn't see any drops. Probably beacuse people are unaware beacuse who reads them ?

Lest see what happens within a week when the word gets out.

ill never understand why people are freaking out about the eula for this game when you know damn well you have accepted plenty of others that say the exact same thing

I don't know. I might be very easily scared upon reading stuff like this, but I too wish more people cared about privacy, especially when gaming (BattlEye anyone?)

Thanks for your feedback, it makes me feel a bit more grounded and not paranoid lol

I like your honesty here. Some of my e-mail accounts are really old and I used to subscribe to stupid stuff.
Still, I want to be more conscientious about this and I usually watch something while being facecamped on hook. This said, I stopped playing quite a few games and DbD is most likely going into that same category.

Thanks for your perspective on the issue, it really helps me reflect my own position :)

I'm not too happy about increased data collecting either but I personally wouldn't stop playing over a policy that has somewhat always been there (privacy policy, including the browser part, was last updated in april, not today).
Also worth to remember that you've already accepted the previous one when you played the game for the first time. But each to their own.

If I recall correctly, I stopped playing before April. Came back to the game and get this. I'm still playing at the moment, but the nuke button seems more appealing every time I think about paying for the base game with four (?) killers, paying for DLC and then agreeing to them having the posibility to sell even more of my data grrrr

Thanks for your feedback, every reply helps me reflect my current position on this issue :)

No worries, each side is right to their own. I played multiple games on pc , consoles, mobile devices and used various appliations. Accepted way too many EULA's and if only one of them monitored it well my data is already on the web .

Don't want to sound like a nut job but i already belive that most things already monitor you without your consent and knowladge about the matter so yeah. I did mail Behaviour now on their support side and will post their response here when it arrives.

Your concerns are valid, it's just people who can't read and don't care much.

According to law if the buyer rejects the new EULA, they may be entitled to return the product and be reimbursed

Actually it was according to bing, at that moment I didn't check the law link. And it doesn't have a conversation history. Now its telling me it depends on many things like the EULA itself, regional consumer protection laws and policy, and other stuff. That's probably why he mentioned "may be"

We won't be refunded for DLC's or in game Auric cells purchases though, which is angering.
Why do you need our* browsers data? Shady af. Also considering uninstalling.
