Removing FPS Cap
I have been wondering, if I was to remove the FPS cap would I get banned?

Because there is no way to remove it in game and it requires editing Config Files.

Every change you make to the game files is done at your own risk.
If EAC bans you for it, BHVR won't be able to help you with it.

if dbd starts banning people for this they would ban 99.8% dbd players

Do you know maybe if BHVR has plans to expand graphic settings?

I've had the config changed for months now and I'm fine. Just be sure to follow a specific guide on how to do it. You're just editing the config file values, EAC shouldn't touch that at all. Don't inject anything or start changing .dll files though

Nope.
EAC never cared for Gameusersettings.ini changes.

What Rizzo says is true on paper but that will never happen if you don't use any third party cheat programs.

If you edit core game files (other than ini files) or if these files get corrupted by a new update (which is a common cause of crashes btw), at worst EAC will detect it, saying something was modified and it will prevent you from starting the game until game integrity get validated and back to their genuine state.

I've noticed their servers also do regular file checks between lobbies that will simply disconnect you if something's wrong and if somehow EAC didn't trigger at launch.

You can uncap it, but their servers do a pretty good job at capping fps at 30 lol.

No you won't get banned. I have had it unlocked for years. If they ban then they ban a good majority of the player base, and that would be very bad for them.
