Anyone else concerned with this DDoS issue?

Because honestly I've been struggling to wanna play this game since the last time DDoS was brought up and once again, there's been another wave of it recently and it doesn't only effect streamers as Scott explained in his recent video.

no they shouldn't Florida man does this for a living, so it might affect him, but tbh its not going to affect you if you're not a LARGE content creator.

He should just do what OTZ did and move from Steam to Epic Games.(not sure if they will copy his profile over like i think otz got but whatever)

I'm mostly trying to highlight the fact it can happen if you're in the same lobby as a TTV at this point.

Speaking of. Even if you're not a huge content creator. Can't you just hide your profile with anon mode so they can't access your steam?

You can't hide, it's ip connected etc, hackers have access to all the details since it's peer to peer, thus ddos is possible, they'll know what all the perks are, esp/wall hack, knowing where everyone is etc, your steam id etc.

that makes sense now after watching that. I wondered why when ever I was in a TTV lobby my game would disconnect me. Also, giving me the DC penalty. Maybe they should remove DC penalty while this issue is sorted. There as been a lot more since this.

it will most likely be ignored again unless it hits specific fog whisperers. Only then it will be dealt with.

I'm currently taking a break from DbD because of this. People think it's only happening to streamers, but it seems to be becoming a much bigger issue. A couple weeks ago, I got merciless as Onyro and one of the survivors was so angry, they began threatening to Ddos/dox me. I made a ticket with evidence of it, nothing happened to them, they were still playing dbd on the same account. My friends have also started to have similar scary encounters. It's just not worth it.

Happens in a lot of games but it's rare enough that it's probably not worth worrying about. You know when it's happening. Just unplug your router and they'll get bored and move on.

If you actually want something to happen with those people you probably need to take your router logs and send it to their ISP. But again, by doing that you're spending mental energy on lowlifes so eh.. better to just go afk for a while.

Bhvr can ignore it all they like but the us government wont. its cyber attack (a federal crime) and they take those very seriously. multiple agencies will get involved. If it happens to me ever or if i continue to hear about it, i'm alerting the fbi and spilling the tea and where its happening, when it happened prior and the willful ignoring from bhvr. accountability from this company needs to happen other than a simple twitter post. bhvr ignored it once, its not happening again. Asking to know how isn't doing your due diligence.

It happened 2 years ago and paused, it happened 1 year ago and then paused again, 6 months ago and now again.

Um.. The ddos thing was always a problem for years. It's nothing new so not sure why you should be afraid of getting attacked. If you were never affected before, you won't be affected now.

Um.. The ddos thing was always a problem for years. It's nothing new so not sure why you should be afraid of getting attacked. If you were never affected before, you won't be affected now.

The difference this time seems to be how they're targeting everyone in a lobby around a TTV now, regardless if the TTV has a VPN. Even more reason to be paranoid about it.
