new red forest
am I the only one thats currently finding mothers dwelling almost outright unplayable for movement based killer?
There's crap EVERYWHERE, and some of it is lower than waste high and you clip against it without even seeing it

You're not the only one.
Many people have pointed out it also screws over Deathslinger, Cenobite, even Nemi with zombies getting stuck all over the place.

That never factored in to these map reworks. The developers do not care about killer.

Yeah I havent been a fan of most of the reworks due to brightness changes or pointlessly changed tiles or breakable walls but this is the first one I'm actually getting frustrated on as killer and not wanting to play.

Correction: The "Testers" don't care about killer.
The art team doesn't care about playability, although their designs are marvelous.
The devs... they are learning I think. (Ensuring 34+ killers function correctly might be a lot for them?)

Personally I love the red forest rework. It looks so life like now and adds realism to the views!
(I haven't played Blight on it, but have played Spirit on that map.)

The Knight's map had the same issue; it's pretty much impossible for a Killer to tell at a glance whether a tiny bump is just scenery or an actual, real hazard that can stop them dead in their tracks. And there's usually grass or something else obscuring the view until you're right up on it.

The new Red Forest has the bonus problem of being extremely dark compared to recent bright maps; I'm seeing a return of Blendettes and camo-jacket Jakes because it can actually work again.

---

I stand by my theory that the devs only playtest new maps and reworked maps with the Trapper (baseline stats), Nurse (unique traversal mechanic means they need to test to make sure she can't fall through), and whoever the newest Killer is since the maps are dumbly designed to showcase their Power.

That's been my experience every match in the new Red Forest maps so far. They look fantastic, but play horribly. The sheer amount of things I find myself getting stuck on now is insane, and I'm pretty sure a few of the L-T wall gyms have been changed to the detriment of overall game balance.

I was on a long break from dbd at the time so I missed the knights launch but I'm flabbergasted at that map. Those hay piles on loops have some of the most awkward collision I've ever seen.
