Tools of Torment is very obviously rushed.
Yeah I know the internet's up in flames over this chapter and I'm not saying anything that hasn't already been said, but I just want to help hammer in a bit more that this upcoming chapter is rushed and it's blatantly obvious.

The Skull Merchant is so clearly thrown together over the course of a single weekend. Ranging from her name to her incredibly basic character design to her outfit and weapons. Her name isn't even interesting, it's ripped straight out of her lore and does nothing to describe her personally. What on Earth is a skull merchant and what does anything about her have to do with it?

Out of the 9 perks, Blood Rush is the only one that really stands out. The rest either have existing alternatives (some better, some worse) or just fill the most specific niche. Hate when your teammate unhooks you and runs off to leave you to die? They added a perk to give them double sprint burst after unhooking you now. Blood Rush, while unique, isn't even good imho. It requires four conditions, like three of which the killer can deliberately play against. If this perk actually saves you in a match, it is pure killer error and by no means something you yourself pulled off.

The survivors are incredibly boring designs. In fact, let me take a second and hammer in just how boring all three character designs are. I keep seeing simps go off about how pretty the killer and the female survivor are. Bro, there's like 9 pretty girls in the game already. Even girls not meant to be pretty like Nea, who's clearly meant to be more urban and hard-shelled, get skins that just convert them into Kate. All three of these character designs stick out like sore thumbs. They don't look like Dead by Daylight characters, they look like they were shoehorned in by a lazy mod developer.

Genuinely nothing about this chapter is good. It's quite possibly the most rushed and unpolished thing BHVR has ever thrown out to us. You can tell they were banking on securing the Predator license and when it ultimately fell through, they had some interns throw something together over the weekend and ran with it. This chapter is dreadful and I really hope this is a fluke. If BHVR didn't care so much about keeping up with schedule, it'd be in their best interest to can this entire chapter and start from scratch with something else. I know they won't but I just want it to be known, it's the right thing to do.

P.S. - Her power isn't even as interesting as some people keep saying. Wow, it's a couple of drones she ordered off of Amazon. Her power is just Knight's power but worse because it's not actually that good at shutting down a loop and it's also not that good at pushing people off of objectives. It accomplishes nothing. You get worse 3-gen defense and worse anti-loop than the Knight. Even the claw traps, which I've seen compared to Onryo's, aren't that big of a deal. This power is a messy hash job of stapling like four other killers into one power and making each of their elements worse than their standalone counterpart.

The current belief is that they were working on a Predator chapter but weren't able to get the license. If true maybe they had things in the works but had to reskin the characters and redesign the perks in order to have a complete package.

The chapter does seem pretty odd but I played the killer for a few hours last night and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

OK, so you said a lot of things, some were pretty good points, others I might disagree here and there, but this is the one which stuck out to me.

"Her name is just ripped straight from her lore"? You do know that the people who write her lore are the same who came up with her name, right? It's not like they're basing it on an IP and a name which already exists. First they had to come up with the name, and then they had to make the whole thing about its origin and how "she got it from one of her dad's mangas", not the other way around.
