First thought of mine is CPU overheating, causing to slow down which is stuttering then ofc.
Temps are normal both CPU/GPU
Also since u "messed" with ini files, are UsedDynamicResolution usevsync both set to true? If not change that. Another thought of mine (network related) you could try to turn off crossplay for one game, and see if it still happens.
These issues are pita since march'22 and you can't fix them no matter what you do. I'm not sure a NASA computer would help with this.
Sometimes game update improves it, sometimes it makes the game completely unplayable.
Since having the random waves of frame drop issues I have done everything under the sun, including:
New SSD, new GPU, new CPU, new motherboard and new RAM. All were upgrades. Unless my PSU is the cause, then it’s the game.
The customer support service representative basically said it could be that my processor is AMD, which are not good for their initial single core performance, which this games relies heavily on.
Intel processors are suggested for a smooth experience for this game…. They should’ve coded it better then, in my opinion. I’m just cucked because I didn’t go intel.
EDIT: didn’t realize this was in the DBD forum. But yeah, same effect. Horrible stutters on a completely new PC still. Maybe I need to re-enable vsync, but I have a freesync monitor so it wouldn’t make sense.
Either way, DBD is horribly coded. I could use an old PC with a GTX 460 and get better performance.
Idk why anybody would want to deal with those so called support services, you can't expect anything helpful...
Avoid windows 11 like the plague.
I've fixed it:
Right click on desktop and choose "Display settings"
Klick "Graphic settings" at the bottom
Browse for your DBD exe: [Path-to-your-steam-lib]+"\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\DeadByDaylight\Binaries\Win64\DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping.exe"
Select the new icon of your new added game exe and hit Options
Change to "High performance"
It's running a lot better now. That said optimization of the game is not that great and settings of DBD are very, very weak. No VSYNC option. No Resolution option (so you might be doomed to play on 4K even if your GPU is too slow for that). No real Fullsceen option (just some faked borderless one).
