unhook yourself 50 times - achievement

is it okay if i start matches and kill myself on first hook, until i get the achievement? my playtime is 503 hours and my progress for this achievement is 9/50. that would mean i need 503 hours x 4 = 2012 hours more, until i get that achievement from playing normal.

you can wait the perk arrives on Shrine of Secrets to buy with shards. But i think you can buy the character with shards, since it is an original one.

Consider saving iridescent shard until you can buy Adam, or for the off chance that you might get it from the shrine whilst you save for Adam.

If not, may I inquire on how the achievement works? Does it require you to only try and unhook yourself and not outright sacrifice yourself? If so, consider an absolute gen rush build where you focus solely on gens but when you're caught you send yourself to phase 2 then after you're unhooked you rush gens again. That way, you can minimilize the damage to your teammates.

There are several perks that influence you into attempting to unhook yourself. Trying to penalize something like that after making a choice to make it into perks is stupid at the least if not brain damaging at the most.

How ironic it is that someone with the name (at the time of posting) "DC = small chick" is planning on killing themselves on first hook for hundreds of games until they get an achievement. (If we assume the 4% success is hit always 4% of the time, with no fluctuation in the data, that's 200 games until he'd get the achievement).

Some people really have no self-awareness.

That achievement was annoying...

I largely did it by relying on Deliverance, but like others mentioned, you can try Slippery Meat with luck offerings.

Theres also Ace's perk that increases luck.

As some people said, just buy adam, you can get him for free and then use deliverance. I already have 24/50 and I started to farm for this achievement not so long ago. I use deliverance almost every game unless i'm the first player to get hooked.

If you don't have this perk, unless you have a swf with luck offerings and slippery meat, please don't try to unhook yourself, this kind of player is horrible as survivor.

Deliverance is the way to do this, i only really play to do achs, this is the simplest way, it also doesn't 100% cuck your team/

if you cant buy adam and you need to wait till its in the shrine then grind other achs

You can try slippery meat + salty lips and if you friends they can bring luck offerings too if you really don't want to just buy adam

That is a terrible achievement to work towards, did steam or bhvr really ok this and not expect some consequences from it lol?
