best regards
Lightborn is not usually worth it and players should save that slot for a real perk and attempt to use other tactics to avoid light.
For securing a hook I walk towards downed survivors and fake the pickup by looking down and pausing for a second, then turning to hit the (hopefully) baited survivor who was waiting to make a save.
If I'm blinded during a chase somehow I look down and start turning the character left and right to triangulate the sound of the survivor to keep chasing. Having the game's audio set to "headphones" makes it harder to track players IMO so I wouldn't use that.
Also I've seen players look straight up/down to avoid firecrackers and still get blinded. Not sure if this is a feature or bug. It has only happened to me once.
Yeah look up has always worked for me also. I've seen people claim it doesn't work, but I've never been blinded while doing it, and I doubt the hundreds of attempts against me have all been whiffs..
Edit: Spinning is Bad IMO, you have a wide FoV they can blind you with, and it takes much longer to Spin away than it does to look up.
Not in that game no. Funnily enough when I did put lightborn on, no one used any firecrackers lol. Guess that's how it goes.
That being said flashbang and the latter rarely work.
But yes, lightborn ftw.
