I don't play to win, I play to have fun. Sometimes matches are short and frustrating, but then that means I can just quickly go into another one that will probably be better. If I get a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ situation, like a Nurse with the standard OP Nurse build, I just try to grab as many points as I can while accepting that the match will be over fast.

For perks I use Bond (always, always, ALWAYS Bond) as well as something to heal myself and something to give myself some stealth like Spine Chill. I do what I can but try not to stress too much about escaping. If I do, fine. Enough BP for one or two more items in the bloodweb, which is nowhere near as much of a grind as it used to be. If I don't, big deal. Life goes on.

Enjoying it or not is entirely dependant on your luck (who is playing with you).

I think alot of players go in solo with the mindset that somehow you are guaranteed to escape every match and this will only bring more frustrations down the road if things dont go your way.

I don't let the things that bother most people bother me? Tunnel me? Have at it, I get 3 back to back chases and then get to queue up for another match almost instantly. Camp me? Have at it, it's not the most fun but it doesn't last long and then I just queue up for another match.

The only thing that actually frustrates me in solo Q is my team mates but again, just relax and move on to the next game. While team mates can be terrible I remind myself that I'm just as bad as they are and all the people here complaining about team mates are probably also just as bad as they are.

So I guess I enjoy it because I allow myself to enjoy it rather than raging at every little thing.

this game even 1 person in the survivors doing something bad can mess up teamwork and get everyone killed. so you start by putting trust in your team and as soon as someone does something dumb like waste time hiding or chasing killer for flashlight save or sandbagging, start playing selfish.

even if others are decent, that 1 person doing dumb stuff will mess up everyone so you have to play it safe. you may all still get out if killer also makes mistakes but dont count on it.

you need a way to heal yourself so killer cant hear you crying and you need a way to find hatch or open gate sneaky and fast. there are many options. most games with this mindset you will be fine and escape or at least get enough done that its a decent match for you. there will be matches you cant do anything, just accept it. but you will come across players that know what they're doing and you all get out,and have a great game, just keep an open mind at first.
