its pretty obvious why Haddie doesnt get that many cosmetics. But I disagree on many points. Haddie has an average amount of cosmetics. Not alot, but more than most, 6 characters litteraly has nothing but one alternative costume. Rebecca, Ada and so on.
Even homebrew characters don't get much cosmetic ie Vasquez or Jeff.
Creativity-wise, that's entirely subjective, but compared, again to homebrew characters like Vasquez or Jeff, I disagree that Haddie is not creative, if anything, shes everything but vanilla.
"In a world where diversity is important, this Haddie behaviour is not sending that message."
Thats a political statement, diversity goes beyond racial background, you may believe that yourself, but nobody is tied to that perspective. It is literally impossible to please everyone on this front. The game boast a very broad set of characters. I could complain there isnt enough LGBT characters past David, I could ask for more representation of neurodiversity etc. The proof is that even though they included an indian-descent character. Everything was nitpicked, from the name to the jewellery etc. Again you cant please everyone on the political front.
Lastly; "this Haddie behaviour is not sending that message."
Nobody signed up for this political view, its yours, great, but don't alienate a group of people because they simply don't adhere to your principles. By pointing the finger at others for not respecting Haddie enough, you could very much be the one pushing them away from Haddie out of desire to not have to have to deal with people like you.
This is an unfair expectation out of a community that likes this game. Its already diverse in its characters, and the most commonly played characters are not even the white ones (Claudette, Yui are most played ones).

This would be nice, though. Maybe the license is just for the original Halloween (1978)? If that's the case, then yeah, that sucks.
i don't wanna hear it
Haddie doesn't have loads of cosmetics because she's not a popular character. The more popular characters get the most cosmetics, maintaining their dominance as the most popular characters, thus ensuring that they get the most cosmetics. It's a vicious cycle but one that makes sense from a business perspective. They aren't exactly throwing entire closets at Zarina and Jonah for a reason.
For whatever it's worth there was a Demogorgon day or something like a year ago and I didn't hear about that either, though a small amount of people I encountered did seem to be playing him.
I do agree that all survivors in this game should get, by default, at least a handful of different hairstyles and clothing styles. Doesn't even have to be anything major, just 4-5 different basic outfits to choose from. I'd use Haddie more if she got more clothes (though I do really like the sweater she just got, which goes well with her mask and bottoms from the last event).
I think it sucks that everyone bashes Meg too, I think she's absolutely beautiful.
Quentin is a licensed character, so he won't be able to get cosmetics made for him easily, or at all. Same for Laurie, Ada, Jill, Leon, etc.
Haddie has been mentioned in DBD lore way before she was put in the game. She is not licensed and an original. Making a few cosmetics that have some variety for her look is a lot more obtainable.
Also, I don't know why her body type and look get so much hate, she's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful.
See, that's why so many people who play Haddie want more for her...to get other people wanting to play her too. The two outfits that look different from her default were limited time outfits and can't be obtained anymore. There's even a legendary cosmetic that was suppose to be released when she came out but it's still sitting in the game files. Like, whyyy can't she get some love??
Also, Meg is gorgeous imo and used to be my main until Haddie came out.
Meg does suffer from some bad lighting at times when the match first starts, zoomed in on her face, but beyond that anomaly I think she's dreamy. And the people who hate on Haddie because of her body shape are buffoons, there's nothing wrong with being thicc. People need to understand that having a fuller figure and larger bone structure doesn't mean that someone's a fat slob.
I'm not familiar with Haddie's legendary outfit, I'd have to go see it. I know that she came with a few basic recolors but I agree that that's not enough, the character's been out for quite a few months and really needs more. Again, I do understand what I assume to be BHVR's position: developing cosmetics for less-chosen characters may not be the best use of time and resources in terms of getting a return on their investment, but as long as certain characters go relatively ignored it will only serve to keep the popularity of those characters low. I'm not saying that they should radically change and release the next two dozen outfits for characters that hardly anyone chooses, but I think there's a middle ground where they don't have to give the next two dozen outfits to Feng, either.
I mean I see feng semi frequently but really she does get an significant amount of outfit choice compares to most surv's, do we know pickrates just to get a scope for how popular she is???
Always a bit annoying to see nearly every rift has had somethin for them lmao
The game is apparently quite popular in Asia, she might be especially popular there. I can't speak beyond my own anecdotal experience but she's definitely among the top 2-3 most common survivors in my games. I like her fine, I'm cool with her getting cosmetics, it's just that she gets..........all of them.
