Forsaken Boneyard is not a strong survivor map
So why the random nerf? It's not even in my A tier of maps i will personally use such as Ormond, Saloon, Badham, Midwich, there's probably 7 maps i would use before it if i'm taking a map. The mid area is not even strong, it has two windows below which have a breakable door right beside them and an incredibly strong basement for killers. There's just two pallets on top and it's weak up there unless you have balanced landing. So what was the complaint? Too large? Forest map is probably bigger, that map is massive. The devs said they agree according to their "data" but didn't actually elaborate at all which leads me to believe they nerfed it because a required amount of killers who didn't like the map complained about it and they can only tolerate/handle a certain amount before caving into demands.
If anything i would even make some buffs in certain areas of that map for survivors and maybe make it a little smaller. Strange one when there's far stronger maps.

The mostly remove the back of the main building and put the loop in the front. My 4 game in the map is not enough to say if the map is killer or survivor side but for now it felt better we will have a better idea when the update is release.

I don't believe what they said because there would be maps with higher escape rates and nothing is said about them. If a loud minority start kicking off then they already showed they will cave in easily. They also said the clicking change was because of potential seizures which was also untrue, that change again was cause of complaints and it's easier to placate them. Theres always a hook on top unless hook disatnce is used then sometimes it wont spwan, theres still basement and other hooks below. It's not a strong main building in the slightest, kicking both doors nullifies it.

Haven't checked yet but it's going to be something random since i suspect they don't know why it's being nerfed themselves with such a vague statement.

- Too many save pallets, most of them are long loops and unMindGameable
- Main building is abusable with Boil Over, there's no guaranteed hook spawn on the second floor. It's even worse with a Petrified Oak Offering.
- The map was too big, which made it almost impossible to defend gens.
- When you play a basic M1 killer you're going to have a really bad time. Knowing at the start of the game you are most likely going to lose, just because of the map isn't healthy or fun.

Personally I play Artist and can shut down loops easily, so I didn't experience these problems. But I can understand why some people don't like the map, most killers can't play well on this map.
Also when I play survivor I know I'm going to escape unless it's a Nurse.
So the rework was really needed. I hope Red Forest and Badham Preschool are next.
Top is also not abusable with boil over since theres a hook up there and it was nerfed heavily already.

Hook spawn on second floor isn't 100% guaranteed. Sometimes there are 2 hooks sometimes there are 0 hooks

The last stats they release it show that cowshed was the map with the highest escape rate but it was last year if i remember correctly. Its in your right to dont believe what they said and honestly you are right but they said the escape rate on that map was too high they gave 0 number they just said it was too high. I dont think we can believe everything they say because they are not transparent enough to deserve our trust.
You can use your experience too im sure even if you die in that map 2 or 3 survivor escape a huge majority of the time i know i do when im survivor. Even when im killer that map is extremly difficult and i prefer to play red forest over the forsaken realm because i think red forest is easier to play in compare to that.

More survivor nerfs are clearly needed to get kill rates to 70% even just ok survivor maps are getting nerfed lol.

Yeah, hopefully we can get survivor escape rates down to 20%. 40% is way to high.
What needs to happen is solo q needs buffed in ways that won't buff swf at all or nearly as much, so that the 2 are playing on more or less equal footing, then balance them against killers, and balance maps after that. Yes, some maps need rebalancing, as they have abusable things in them.

As someone who plays a lot of Killer I dont mind that map at all and I dont get the hate for it. Badham, Ormond and the fekien swamp wich i get on 18-19/20 of my twins games for whatever reason, make me feel a special kind of way and its not positive.
It has an abusable spot on it, with wiggle out builds, so it's strictly a hate for how bully squads can abuse it.

It’s not so much that it was strong for survivors as much as it was that the killers didn’t like it. BHVR prioritizes the wants and needs of the killers over the survivor, so nerf it is.

Just tested it in kyf on live servers and there was always a hook to get to from any spot on top even with boil over, so you're wrong.

Just tested it in kyf on live servers and there was always a hook to get to from any spot on top even with boil over, so you're wrong.
Did you run the full bully build? 4 man team + the full wiggle build + the oak offerings? Idk what's the minimum, but ja.

Maybe an issue on your end, never saw scratches not appear there.
