I'd recommend bringing Corrupt Intervention maybe. Survivors can't camp their spawn gen and are forced onto the map. Lethal Pursuer is better for her, because it helps other aura reading perks, but until you feel confident in ending chases in under 15 seconds it's a good way to buy some early game space. Genrush is forcing sweaty playstyles though because every killer can only afford 15 seconds a chase against good-ish survivors.
You don't actually have to play them, just spend BP on them and continue playing huntress.
You're going to have to "torture" yourself and practice her shots anyway. The perks only help so much, so use some add ons in the meantime that will give you quicker aim and decreased wind up, and that'll give you some more confident hits.
For this beginner build, you'll just need to do legion and bubba, and huntress herself. Getting them all to P3 should only take a couple of weeks. Which is not nearly as long as it used to take.
Play huntress to get some fun hits, and not about winning first and foremost. Eventually you'll be getting those hits, having fun and winning!
Also, always bait survivors into dropping a pallet, you can hit over it, and almost always get a free hit because they forget they need to duck or think you're gonna just loop.
Hope this helps!!
Also, look up coconutrts on YouTube. Watch his vids, as he is a huntress main. Grear advice! Make sure you're comfortable with your mouse settings, too fast sensitivity can actually hinder you.
Practice. Lots of practice.
The W in throe hatchet also lines up with the center of the screen.
That's an interesting tip, I didn't know that. Keep an eye on the "W".
But yeah she was amazing. Super precise, good addons, stayed on me and eliminated me from the match in like 3 and a half minutes. It was brutal.
Now I use no way out so I can relax while getting the win lol
No but fr it is mainly getting good at the killer knowing when to pull up and when not to etc
It's a bit dependent on the map -- a Huntress is gonna get cucked in pretty much indoor map, but she's one of the few killers who can pressure multiple locations at once, and of the few who exist, she's the one who does it the best -- if you get good at her.
Nothing in this game beats the feeling of elation of downing survivors from 50+ meters away with hatchets in my opinion. Even better when they're completely unaware.
But yes; having a greater variety of perks helps in general; and frankly Nemesis has two very strong perks.
Lethal pursuer, Bitter murmur, BBQ and Darkness revealed.
Now ofcourse that doesn't work very well on every map and you need to hit your shots a majority of the time.
Huntress has tons of bad maps and loops that are just complete pain.
Learning maps for spots where you can throw through gaps and over loops is important and you'll most likely need to just watch tons of huntress gameplay to learn most of them while also discovering some yourself.
Most of her addons are very good and can have a big impact on how you play and what kind of tricks you can do.
Lethal will help you with early pressure to stop multiple gens from popping very fast once you get better at playing huntress - arcing throws, loops, gaps, predicting movement and patterns of movement, knowing what gens you don't really care about at all and can give up on, knowing loops on some maps where you just don't go because it's a complete waste of time to chase people there and then just general game knowledge things and things that i might've not mentioned.
The bots can help a little bit with throwing practice but they're way too smart while also being very stupid. -> https://streamable.com/iqeygi
If you're not going to hit them they 99% of the time don't dodge and if you would hit them they will dodge 50% of the time depending on where they are.
Teams with strong items and builds are always going to be a pain and since the only thing the "meta shake up" did was replace DS with adrenaline and BT with prove or a dealers choice perk. DH is getting back to the point of 4 per team and it hurts huntress a lot.
