Is Rancor actually good?
Okay so basically I grabbed it during the Shrine bit awhile back and only now started trying to use it. Problem is it's kind of ruining my games. Like the real reason I use it, I do it so I can Mori the Obsession cause I like doing that.

Well so far my problem has been that either the Obsession is so bad that I can and will kill them long before the gens are done. I have to go out of my way not to kill them which just messes up my flow alltogether. So far 7 games in and all but 1 they either DC or escape (like through a hatch)

Even worse, I can't pair it with Remember Me, a perk that lets me add 5 seconds to opening the exit doors (Up to 30 seconds.) Cause of the reason above I'll only get half the hits I normally do as others seem perfectly fine ignoring an obsessee in trouble.

Is it good for any particular killer? I honestly feel ripped off with this perk so far.

Oh, and of course, trying to capitalize on that Mori bit honestly makes me look stupid since I'm intentionally letting them finish gens. (Even if it's only 2 survivors left)

Its a really good perk especially when paired with Save the best for last. Rancor lets you keep track of your obsession and gives you a reason to not hit him until the gates are powered. You can easily have 8 STBFL stacks then finish your obsession with a mori at end game.

Depends on the skill of the survivor and the skill of the killer.

I only use it for the Kill a survivor with your own hands daily.

Hmm so would it be ideal for say The Shape? I rarely play him but I"m thinking

Monitor and Abuse, Overcharge, Rancor and STBFL

Don't focus only for the mori at the end. I use Rancor more for finding survivors.

It's debatably better than bitter murmur depending on the situation.

Rancor works in situations you normally cannot see survivors.
Lockers, invisible spirit, Bitter murmur does not.

It does not work well on killers that rely on stealth (Though it could probably work on Freddy) but for other killers? I find it a better bitter murmur.
