As long as you get a headphone that supports surround sound, you'll be fine. I'm playing on normal sennheiser's and hear everything around me perfectly.

Beyerdynamic DT990. No Gamingheadphone overprized ♥♥♥♥. Just good as ♥♥♥♥. Soundcard dont needed

Don't need surround sound. You only have two ears. I use a cheap, crappy pair of Logitech h110s and it's pretty easy to track by sound.

Honestly any headphones will work for the most part. I use a 20.00$ pair of sony headphones and it's just fine for hearing what I need to as a killer.

I have a Logitech G430, works fine for me, although the sorround feature doesn't seem to give you any advantages... But I didn't buy the headset especially for this game.

I'm using Logitech G35.
Comes with a mic, great quality for the price! :)
I'm using the wired version, i've had it wireless too, but wasn't for me (I game too much, so the wire was always plugged in anyway)

I use the hyper x cloud headset, no idea what the specific name is. Cheap, comfortable to wear and lasts. I see no issue with it

Get a HyperX cloud 2 (7.1 surround sound) and you'll love the sounds in this game (can't tell you how great it is to know exactly where the survivor is just by the sound of their cries of agony :praisesun:) !
I don't know if the mic is great though, since I already had a blue yeti microphone before buying my headphones

something with a large soundstage (open-back) will be the best for gaming; the cheaper end would include something like the ATH-AD700X or ATH-AD900X

dont buy any headphones with "gaming" in the title, they are all junk but many people fall for that marketing scheme

you could also try posting in reddit.com/r/headphones for more help

the "gaming" in the title is mostly there for 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound headphones :spycon:. Most headphones are just stereo.

I've been there once with the Roccat 5.1 and the Logitech G35. Nothing of those so called 5.1 Surround-Sound Headphones/Headsets came as close as my current ones. Beyerdynamic MMX300 Manufaktur Edition and the Asus Xonar Essence STX for an Audiophile like I am with music and games.

If you are new to all of this, I can recommend a good pair of Stereo Headphones/Headset (Headset if you don't have a stationary Microphone). The Creative HS800 "Gaming Headset" is a good all-round headset I mainly use it on my laptop for some gaming sessions.
These work perfectly fine for this game with onboard sound and doesn't require a proper SoundCard to work good.

Cheers! :bloodhand:

i use this with ampli Matrix M stage HPA2

The sound is perfect. The scene is perfect.

The best sound is with HIFI headphones not with gaminig headphones.
