Do Killers see the hatch?
Just had a Killer in my lobby which got the other 3 survivors killed within the first 2-3 minutes of the game, i was near him and followed him for a bit and thats when i noticed he rushed straight for the hatch and waited there then.

Yes of course they see the hatch. Most know every location of the hatch too. Once that last survivor dies it's a race to see who gets there first. Then if the killer and survivor are smart it's a stare down contest because if they hit the survivor they're gonna get out, and if they jump in the killer will grab 'em

they don't get the hatch highlighted the way they do the generators, but if they walk by it they can see it, and if it is open they can hear the whooshing noise from it samea s anyone else.

Killers see the hatch after it's been triggered/unlocked. They can hear it prior to that, though. I just had a similar game to yours, Eagle

It doesn't have to be open for us to hear it.

Killers can hear the trapdoor before it spawns.

Wow, kinda makes the hatch useless in my opinion. why even try getting the hatch when the killer will be there for sure.

I'd disagree that the hatch is useless. It just gives you more options for escape, really. Especially in the event of both gates being close to each other.

That's why when I see a match going badly and it's down to me and 1 other person, I immediately start scouting the hatch out so I can be there/know where it is if the worst case scenario happens. It's why many killers knock one victim down and then hunt the last so they can't use the hatch.

If the killer is hatch camping do objectives for points. ♥♥♥♥ up a skill check make him move away from the hatch because he knows you're not nearby. Then run to the hatch.

they'll look for it, but the killer is not really guaranteed to be there and if they decide to camp it then you can fix a genny. when you finish off a genny, a killer will pretty reasonably go investigate to see if they can catch you walking away from it.

you're also presuming that both the survivor and the killer knows where the hatch is at all times. the reality is that isn't true. even keeping an eye out for it, as killer i know where it is probably only half the time, and if my narrow survivor escapes have meant anything it seems like i'm on the high end of that.
