what's the problem with the stranger things dlc?
Seriously, I don't understand these people who are complaining so much about the stranger things dlc. It's just a fun dlc. just ignore it if you really dislike it, for whatever reason.

for killers who don't like this:
what, are you scared that the two new survivors means there will be at least 1 broken perk? DS took a while to get nerfed, but the dbd team works a lot better with perks now. look how fast MoM got nerfed.

for survivors who don't like this:
are you... actually too scared of the demogorgon? or just afraid it'll be good? man up, since almost all of you used to like mettle of MAN so much.

for people who just straight up hate the series:
i'm not going to ask why you don't like the series, but that doesn't mean you have to whine. just IGNORE IT. and if you really, REALLY want to, dc whenever you get a demogorgon, or see a steve/nancy in your lobby.
(might get you banned #stevegang)

for other people complaining it's "not what they wanted" or "it's a dumb idea":
you don't know it's not what you wanted yet. maybe there's this perfect killer/survivor perk just for your playstyle, or maybe it turns out you like the map (despite it prolly being very similar to lery's, except very, very dark). this isn't the end of dbd, stop complaining.

i may be biased as a fan that loves this series, but that doesn't disprove what I said just now.

if you have anything smart to respond to me with, go ahead. it may take some time for me to reply back though.

i'm a "toxic" survivor main and rank 20 killer, so obviously i don't have an opinion whatsoever

Yeah, but we can't ignore the new killer being game-breaking OP during the first 3 months after his release, as it has always happened.

it's not even out yet. once he comes out, everyone will scream broken until someone finds a counter (like plague) or if he actually was broken, and gets nerfed (like legion).

I think the main reasons why people are complaining are that:

1) The devs are breaking their own rule of not making non-human Killers as they now have a humanoid Killer in the works.

2) They decided on adding a crossover from a show that isn't even within the horror genre. Mind you in the show's defence, the demogorgons are the scariest things in that show.

1. i guess they are breaking their rule. it does somewhat make sense though, these are the same people who made identity v, and that has a literal doll, a lizard, and a invisible snake witch thing. and also an actual spider. they just want to branch off. it's also not like the promise being broken was a bad thing.

2. it is somewhat in the horror genre, but then again...
the plague could be a story of sadness and rebirth after death (if she did, egyptian stories and such).
the huntress is more of a survival story, where the main character becomes the villian.
legion isn't much of a horror story. doubt it could even become a movie, due to themes centered around teenagers.

3. props for non-toxic response

And 3) It's again licenced.

I haven't noticed the monster having any eyes at all.

What do you think about this design?

God forbid to change your own mind about something. Like srsly? Let them try out new stuff when they want to.

It might not be the scariest show ever, but it still has a dark atmosphere and things going on. It does fit in a kind of way.

And who said it has to be in order like original, licenced, original, etc..? Stranger Things Season 3 came out not long ago. It's the best time for it rn...

That's nitpicking on another level. Just don't buy the dlc if you dislike it that much or be at least happy for those who are happy. I am and would be, for anyone and any chapter.

Edit: it's an overall answer to those things, not to the people directly who posted them.
That still doesn't answer my question, according to design and expected logical gameplay.

I mean, let's be honest.

The monster shouldn't be able to see a thing, but to only be able to hear sounds..

Lol, yeah, sure. Its called people having 0 idea how to play vs the new killer, like reworked freddy, not a change but the forums are no longer full of crybabies asking for nerfs. Demogorgon will be the same, soneone gets killed and will come running here to cry about how op he is even if it is the most loopeable killer in the game.

Gonna add, they broke the rule awhile back, as iirc, they also said there's be no Clown killer, and... Well...

Also, BHVR only helped a bit with Identity V, and I heard Netease bought some of BHVR, but they are different teams. (And Moonlight Gentleman best skin :P)

Well, that wasn't directed to your question. I am also curious about that but i miiiight think they are going with the easiest way of solvation. Maybe it is able to see ingame after all..no idea.

I'm kinda annoyed now that I think about it since it's the third licensed DLC in a row, but hey, if they want to do that, then they can do that.

Two survivors sounds cool, but I'm worried on how they'll execute that.
If they go for two different survivors, I'm worried they'll not think about it enough before they release it, especially since we have until September for this chapter.
If the survivors are the same perk-wise, people are gonna complain that the two characters are the same.

Also the Killer sounds awesome. I haven't watched the show, but it sounds like a really good show, and also it'll be a unique thing since it isn't a human!

Also the new map hopefully will be awesome, it'll be nice to get a new indoors map.

If that'd be the case, then I'd be even more disappointed than now.

80s and a lack of Killer's design (missing eyes).
