Hell ask the killer in post game chat why did they go there it might be:
I was defending Hex Ruin,
I saw you at the same time I saw this survivor but thought they were easier prey,
two one split on remaining gens and I had the two to the left and right of me.
Lots of killers will gladly tell you what mistakes you made if you just ask. Ask and learn how they read you.
You could see their hair as clear as daylight through the fog (but not through walls if I remember correctly.
You mean this;

And yeah i believe it still happens.
Dwights & Claudettes.
Don't think i ever saw it happen to a Meg.
But I expect Behaviour is just waiting for the Next Chapter patch to come along so they can pick up sales on the first 1-3 days before rolling out a wave of bans.
Granted there are hacks and the such too, both sides use them, but common knowledge about knowing hiding places is more likely. Well, that and stream sniping.
Is it though? you don't know the situation they were in and instead just play it down.
I'm not saying there aren't hackers. Hell I have a video of a Laurie speedhacking, I'm saying they likely aren't as prevalent as people make them out to be.
The problem is people make out as though they don't exist, and they gather a bandwagon of cheats and lemmings.
I think people misappropriately call out Lags switching when its just a player on Wifi. But if you factor out lag switching complaints, I expect cheating is significantly more prevalent then players believe.
No ones ever calls out a survivor claiming they are hacking to reveal totem locations. And its very hard to call out a killer or survivor that is moving 5% faster from the other team, but it can be very apparent if one survivor is running behind another in a straight line. And with killer perks being hidden post game it makes things even murkier.
I do however agree that the really obvious cheating like 300% movement speed and teleporting players into your traps/chainsaws is very rare. Undoubtedly they get reported left, right, and center for it too.
Honestly this is one of the harder games too tell, FPS games you live, die, repeat and you can test players, and alot of times you'll get them shooting as you come from behind a wall or whatever, and you can then test them doing it too have a pretty positive idea that they are.
On this it's pretty much, blink, wallop, hook, dead. Not much time to test things out, it's also why they can get away with it easier.
Another is For Honor.
