However the premise of the game is something I've been wanting ever since I was a teenager and its finally happening.
This, when I choose a game I expect it to give me 2X the cost in gameplay hours. So if I spend $60, I expect at LEAST 120 hours out of the game, if it gives me that the game in my eyes is worth it. I expect at least 60 hours out of this game so its wurph to me.
Also it depends on if your a fan of this style of game. I personally am, (I also loved Evolved) so I will be getting more hours out of it then some people will.
So TL;DR, while you can consider it "overrated", its a cheap game you that will deliver price<gameplay and for the people who REALLY enjoy this style of gameplay (myself included), it will give you MASSIVE entertainment for the ammount spent.
2x the cost is a damn good rule although I don't really follow it. I'm a frivolous buyer. I personally think about it as 2 hours of really good entertainment is about 7 dollars (like a movie ticket) So if the game is good enough 7$ to me is okay for 2 hours. Although it also depends on the quality. Soma only took me 8-12 hours or so but I'd pay doubble what I did, that game was amazing.
I love seeing how other people justify the money they spend. For me, whether its games or anything really, I figure it into how many hours would i need to work to spend that money. Then ask myself if I am willing to work x amount of hours for it. Has worked well for me and kept me from spending money too frivolously.
Well that, and the wife.
I bought it for RU330, guess it's 660 hours for me then. Not that I mind at all.
