Single Player Mode?
Will the game ever go towards a Single Player Mode or is it Only going to aim at the Online and Co-Op Option? I ask cause loads of games do this and then die out and you are stuck with a game that nobody wants to play or jump into and you can not enjoy afterwards?

No single player, no AI, online co-op only for now. Here is what one of the devs last said about it.

Hey all! First of all, DBD is multiplayer only, no AI, no single player and you need to be online.

That said, there are 3 cool ways to play it as a loner or with a limited group.

1-The killer is basically single player experience, you can picture the survivors as not human with the power of imagination! ;)

2-as a survivor you can go in by yourself and be the lone wolf, there is a ton of strategies to be used to survive as a single player.

3-There is an unranked gameplay mode where you can play with your friends even if you are not 5.

Also keep in mind that there is a ranking system in DBD which match you with players of similar skill levels.

Cheers!

Hope that helps :)

Thanks, while that is all fin and dandy I thank you for your time and answer. However, I will just state it again, All ONLINE/CO-OP games die out and with no single player it means no fun when that happens. So for me to Buy(rent) a game for lets say a few months until the intrest is gone is at best unworthy. Best of luck and maybe oneday I will hit the purchase when it price plumitts.

Not true. 1 example. Left for Dead. Game is 7 years old and averages 12,000+ daily since launch.

So the only reason to worry is if THIS game will have that success. Time will tell.

Hoping this doesnt pull an Evolve. Worst mistake in my game library.

Ok, fair enough, to each his own. Who knows, maybe a Let's Play or stream will change your mind. In any case, thanks for inquiring.

Good Point, like you said time will tell and I am not sure for my preferences. So it will tell me when I press the purchase but. But it saddens me when it does not have Single and online is all :steamfacepalm:

not everyone shares your money practices bud. Remember, people from all over the globe can have access to this game. Not all countries are 1st world and not all people currently has a well paying job. Some people are just students saving their allowance or earning just enough at a part time job just to buy games.

True that, L4D is single player now and 100% correct on cash. Last time I was at the movies was years ago. maybe 10 to be exact

It's a damn shame. I wanted to pick up Friday the 13th since it was supposed to get a SP mode (Though with everything that's going on I'll wait until it gets really cheap.) so I decided to look this up and see if it had SP mode (or was getting it) but it doesn't seem like that was happening. Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread and I hope for the best for the game.
