how to download the dlc

hi im trying it free for the weeknd but i dont think i have the dlc with it , i try to download it from steam but it just starts the game ????

Free weekend will not be able to play as the killer and survivor. You will however get to play on the new map and see the new killer and survivor.

You can try going to the Steam page (Steam Store, for this game), and scrolling down to the DLC section for this game, and then try to select the free DLC. When you click that one, it should start your game, and activate the DLC. You should do this after you have successfully played (or started) the normal game at least once (so that the base game has been installed on your computer). You may also have to restart Steam.
