Thickening/Lightening the dark mist
So if your the killer wouldn't you always want to lighten the mist, and if your a survivor wouldn't you always want to thicken? Just trying to understand the logic as to why both classes get acess to both items letting you do this.

Yeah I don't get it either. It ends up being a waste of thousands of points I must have like over 10 thickened as a killer that I'll never use. Same could be said about the moonlight offerings

Unless you are wraith, in which case you want to thicken the mist
Any other killer wants to lighten the mist - the hillbilly and trapper can't hide from survivors, due to heartbeat, fast movement, their eyes and audio cues.

Survivors tend to thicken the mist because it's much harder to spot them

But overall, they are pretty useless items, most likely added as bulk to make the bloodwebs larger

I also love that there is only one to "slightly lessen" yet the thicken goes alway the way up to greatly.

You'd be suprised how many times i've lived by hiding in the mist.

Especially on a map like Shelter Woods

Yeah, from a first person perspective it's very hard to see people in the mist unless they move quickly.

I'm hoping we get a killer that can periodically use night visionto make mist more relevant

Shelter woods is a real bane for killers as well, lot's of trees and obsticles which makes chases very hard

Obsticles? You sure you aren't playing a different map? The sides of sheltered woods are in a straight line and the area in the middle is a huge, open tree.

Or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Coldwind Farm and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cornfield. (Killer's Nightmare)

I had a match today where people two people played the regular mist and one played the super-mist. It was ridiculous! I actually thought it helped the trapper a little, because it was so misty it impossible to see traps.

I personally love the corn as a killer. So many gooby survivors just try and crouch hide in it, it's wonderful.

I'm thinking of the tree clusters

brightest moon and lessen mist is better for me as a survivor.

Thick mist screws me up because I have a harder time seeing the killer.
PiscesFirst Aug 14, 2016 @ 5:23pm
While juking, you usually (if good) only get hit when you lose sight of the killer. so as a survivor that loves taking the killer and juking/outplaying him all around the map, i prefer brighter moon and lighten mist

I'll thicken the mist as trapper sometimes. Makes it harder to see traps unless you have small game.
