I thought the same thing writing this out but nevertheless I wanted to. I'm speaking not only from a killers standpoint but also survivor there's plenty of times where I'd wished that the music would just stop especially when I wasn't even being chased.
people's are asking for an OPTION not to remove music from the game for all. I think this the best , to give a choice.
You can turn down the volume. The music is supposed to have a fixed volume relative to game sounds.
That's exactly what Iron Will is for isn't it? So that the killer can't hear their grunts. So if there's already a perk in the game meant for that reason why would they delegate that to the music?? It doesn't make sense. Tbh with how many options are missing from this game I just can't believe it's because it's intended.
i mean it should automatically do this not you have to do it
It's in the settings! On a easy to use bar that you can pull left and right! How are devs supposed to know what settings your computer sound settings are on?
and he is saying that "option" would allow you to catch 100% of the time...that the music itself is a game mechanic used to help survivors escape and provide a balanced experience.
if I have an OPTION that lets me win everytime no matter what...how much you want to be I will take that option everytime?
They definitely know what they are doing.
This is for emotion, not for gameplay.
It's not even meant for JUST the killers benefit it's meant for both. Both the killers and survivors could benefit from no music. There's so many ambients sounds that both sides give off from the survivors breathing to the trapper placing traps. So much of it is drowned out by needless music.
again, even if both sides may benefit, it removes an existing mechanic which fundamentally alters balance and causes many new problems to arise.
simply put, it is far more hazard than reward.
